Jake Moore's world fits too tightly around him. Every penny he makes as a welder goes to care for his dying father, an abusive, controlling man who's the only family Jake has left. Because of a promise to his dead mother, Jake resists his desire for other men, but it leaves him consumed by darkness. It takes all of Dallas Yates's imagination to see the possibilities in the fatigued art deco building on WeHo's outskirts, but what seals the deal is a shy smile from the handsome metal worker across the street.

I was gripped from the very first page and swept along in this moving story between Jake and Dallas. I may have bawled a time or time and was left feeling emotionally wrung out, but oh so happy with the end.

Superb story and delivery.

I wasn't supposed to end up in an outlaw biker's bed. I wasn't supposed to love it. I definitely wasn't supposed to crave his fiery kisses, beg for his touch, or ache to know the man behind the evil-looking ink and scarred smirk. I was the good girl. He was the monster. Then everything changed. I became a prisoner. I prayed for Skin to save me. He did - and he kept me for himself.

But on the first day he's called up to the newly franchised Brooklyn Bruisers, Leo gets checked on both sides, first by the team's coach - who has a long simmering grudge - and then by the Bruisers' sexy, icy publicist - his former girlfriend, Georgia Worthington. Where does Rookie Move rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

While not my favourite from this author, it's still a fabulous 5 star read.

Which character – as performed by Nicol Zanzarella and Rock Engle – was your favorite?

Both actors did a great job at offering strong and believable characterisation. Nicole captured the voice and emotions especially well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Nope, but only due to time constraints.

Any additional comments?

A stunning novel. Emotive, passionate, a storyline to sink your teeth into, and with one of the hottest sports ever, Rookie Moves was beautifully written and performed.
