I couldn't believe when the book ended. I was meal prepping for the week, listening to the guys talk and all of the sudden they announced that this was the end and I was like Nooooooo, when did this happen ?!?!

All in all, I am so happy for them. They deserve all the attention and success they are receiving. I loved listening to their stories about their life and experience, you can tell it all came from the heart and some things weren't easy to share. Even though in the beginning you can see that this is their first contact with audiobooks (I found Ned to be a little over-excited and loud while Eugene too quiet at the start), they get the hang of it pretty fast and the audio experience runs smoothly.

I especially loved Ariel's cameos (I would totally love for her to do a home-design audiobook, her tone and cadence is so smooth).

Great job, guys! Keep up the amazing work!

A witch is a wise woman, a healer. Yet for so long the word witch has had negative connotations. In this book, third generation hereditary witch Lisa Lister explains the history behind witchcraft, why identifying as a healer in past centuries led women to be burned at the stake, and why the witch is reawakening in women across the world today. This book provides an overview of the different schools of witchcraft and the core principles and practices within them.

Loved it.
Such blunt but well said narrative of how women's powers and potential have been subdued and almost extinguished by patriarchy for so many centuries and how we are not in sync with nature anymore, but we are slowly waking up and remembering our true power.
I need to get the Kindle copy as well, because the later chapters talk about plants and stones and I would love to have a list of those.

It wasn't bad, but not what I expected. I loved Bob's voice, he seems like a really sweet guy, but I got it under the impression it was a comedy book and instead I got dialogs with famous people in showbusiness who talk a little about their beginnings, which wasn't what I was after.

Thinking all monasteries were like the ones he saw in the movies, Jesse Itzler arrived at the New Skete religious community in remote Cambridge, New York, with a shaved head and a suitcase filled with bananas. To his surprise, New Skete monks have most of their hair. They're Russian Orthodox, not Buddhist, and they're also world-renowned dog breeders and authors of dog-training books that have sold in the millions.

It could've been a 5/5, but the story was like dipping in the sea: sometimes on a high wave, sometimes on a low tide - there were parts it was interesting and funny and parts it was just plain boring. I started this because the free sample from Audible was witty and funny and I expected more of that when purchasing it, so in the end I was a tad disappointed.
I didn't particularly enjoy some of the author's views as they sometimes seemed very ignorant (no idea what Christian monks are like or about any type of monks in general, proclaiming to be an atheist but having no idea about the basics of religion, preconcieved opinions, jumping in head first without researching first, etc), but I appreciated the honesty on putting all of that onto paper and not trying to cover it up.
I loved the idea about the thinking place and fighting your own beasts, bravery and personal development, but the book in itself was more like a sketch than an actual book. Maybe it needed more action, or more time with the monks.
Overall, 3.5/5.

For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.
