As a hit man from the time he was very young, money, women, and danger have always ruled Gideon's life; but for the first time, the job is taking its toll. Neither Gideon nor the city of Buenos Aires has recovered from the mayhem caused during Gideon's last job. But before the dust has settled and the bodies have been buried, Gideon calls in backup - including the lovely Hawks, with whom Gideon has heated memories - to launch his biggest act of revenge yet...one he believes will destroy his adversary, Midnight, once and for all.

this is a decent book series, but a few things ring Tru about it. 1. Brady gonna get captured or tied up. 2. Alex training and skill is going backwards as the series goes

Alex started out in the first book beating up and knocking out trained and skilled spotlight operatives, to now she can barely walk without Brady.

I have been waiting on this book for some time now. I was very disappointed in the read. Ted Bell normally has a great flow to his books even as they are nonsensical. he hopped around on this book like a rabbit at a kids party. The same Alex Hawk that had a singlar focus in the past somehow did not have that focus when saving his son. was able to go off on side missions for a chick. also stokely just left after a brief mission even though his son was not found.

the author must be new to writing in this genre. you have a secret government agency with handlers that are stupid and the boss of the agency who has no clue. the smartest person there is the one who just had his memory wiped but yet still remembers how to shoot and fight. the context of the story just does not come together I will try the next book in the series to see if this matures or if it is just bad writing .
