At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

Ready Player One is a must read /listen for anyone who has ever developed any sort of relationship with another human online. It is fun, deep, insightful and I couldn't stop listening.

As a gamer, who also happened to meet, fall in love and build a true bond with my husband all within a game online; this hit so many notes on so many levels. The characters are multilayered, complex, flawed and pitch perfect.

Wil Wheaton's narration was excellent, with just enough inflection of his own personality to add to the amazing story.
