the lesson in this book are life changing. if you read a lot of self help books like me then this book covers the basic premises but the knowledge is given in a new way. there is a great thought proses behind this book and i find it to be on the same level as the 48 laws of power, the 12 laws of growth and the 5th agreement. the vocals were great and the music was a nice touch and there wasn’t a lot of it so it didn’t seem like they added it to help push time. there is a workbook that partners with this book and im seriously looking into getting it. great time with this one, this is not a one-and-done

I almost turned off this audiobook because there are times when the story shared seemed not worth it. The life lessons just didn’t apply to me because I didn’t live even slightly close to that. But don’t skip it because there are stories that you can relate to in the beginning, middle or end but there’s no way you can relate to all of them. My personal preference was in the middle and towards the end. After hour 5 I became entangled in this book and finished the other 6/7 hours that same day. But it took 2 weeks to get through the first 5 hours. Maybe you will find the first 5 great and the last 6 long but again, DONT SKIP!!! this book is connected and if you skip (which I refused to) in the end you will be rewarded with deeper meanings and a connection of how all stories are intermingled together. Kudos to this book, I’ll be listening to this again in the future

In this contribution to the emerging men's movement, Robert Moore, a Jungian psychoanalyst and Douglas Gillette, a mythologist, examine the inner King - one of the four archetypes on the male psyche. The inner King integrates power and nurturing, firmness and caring, courage and creativity, self-affirmation and self-sacrifice. From his central position between the world of imagination and the world of action, the King within challenges every man to take up his own scepter, to dream and to make them come true.
