Hiking from Georgia to Maine sounds incredulous to most. To Lon Chenowith, it is a journey that calls him into the wild - a journey that reveals true tests of faith and will in the direst circumstances. What began as a dream in his teens to trek the Appalachian Trail takes flight with a preliminary hike with his two young boys from Amicalola Falls to Unicoi Gap. The initial intrigue wears off, and Lon quickly realizes he will be making a long, arduous journey alone, save for a few hiking partners and unique characters met along the way.

I have read other diet and nutrition books in my past, but few if any was supported by so much science. Adding humor makes the science much more palatable.

As someone who likes statistics, I appreciated how the doctor made sure to distinguish the difference between correlation and causation even when he argues his points.

I also appreciate his preference to human studies vs. animal studies.

This lifestyle; diet, fasting stress control, is very similar to the Whole30 that I recently started. It takes the science of their plan even deeper.

Excellent read for anyone who has spent their life battling weight

After obtaining his business degree, he created a blog to chronicle a year-long series of productivity experiments he conducted on himself, where he also continued his research and interviews with some of the world's foremost experts, from Charles Duhigg to David Allen.

Really enjoyed this audio book but it is not without a downside - I hope to properly convey my feelings.

I love the youthful exuberance that the author has. His passion and energy will inspire all who listen. I also enjoy that the author took this on almost as a science project. Although many of his experiments produced subjective data, he does back up with real science where he can.

There are so many takeaways and personal experiments, and that's what leads into the downside of this audio book. This is not a book you can just "zone out to" on your commute to work. I started off with pen and paper and then tried using the bookmark feature on Audible and ultimately just said that I'm going to have to relisten or buy the book. A pdf with the authors challenges and other key points would be nice; however, it does not warrant a lower rating on the book.

Many introductory Corporate Finance textbooks tout their engaging, real-world examples, but they often fail to hold students' interest. A Novel Introduction to Corporate Finance offers a unique, innovative, and refreshing contrast. Structured as a work of literary fiction, the book successfully uses a compelling narrative to tell the “story” of corporate finance.

Five star content. My only criticism was on the narration. Narrator's voice was pleasant, but she read words like quote and end quote and open parentheses. It was very distracting from topic and, ironically, added waste to the book.
