In a world without power, Jason must fight for survival as he heads to the wilds of the Appalachian Mountains. In this story, ably narrated by Gabriel Zacchai, an electromagnetic pulse attack on the United States shuts down all power, communications and transportation. With no food deliveries, and no vehicles working, society begins to unravel. Starvation and death begin to reign and panic leads to violence.

Would you recommend After the Fall to your friends? Why or why not?

I would recommend the book to a friend as a light read, travel and beach entertainment.

Did Gabriel Zacchai do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Yes, Gabriel Zacchai narration was good and well paced.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Possibly, but I would like to have a deeper development of the characters. This book occurs in a post electronics environment. The rest of the world seems to have left America untouched and not invaded during this time. This did not seem possible.

Any additional comments?

I look forward to reading the next installment in this story from this new author. As a first book, I believe it was a very good effort. Deeper and more rounded characters would benefit future efforts, and as a whole, this author holds his story and his audience together very well.
