Overall I enjoyed this book. It was interesting to learn the behind the scenes of the playboy mansion. Towards the end of the book it seems like Holly took this opportunity to "set the record straight" (according to her) and it was like anyone that wronged her was mentioned in the book. There was a fair amount of "I'm the victim" dialogue although she really is a smart woman and has done a great job of pursuing self-actualization. While reading the book I also started watching episodes of "The Girls Next Door". The combo of the two really was interesting.

If a man doesn't take you seriously, he may feel compelled to have a good time with you. Unfortunately this good time will last until you finally realize you're being taken for a ride or until Mr. Time Waster ultimately moves on to a woman he REALLY wants. In cases like this, what a woman really requires are two things: a healthy amount of self-respect and a set of "player-proof" dating rules that will allow her to make wise dating decisions.

At some point every one of us embarks on a journey to find love. We meet people, date, get into and out of relationships, all with the hope of finding someone with whom we share a deep connection. This seems standard now, but it's wildly different from what people did even just decades ago. Single people today have more romantic options than at any point in human history.

Most personal and organizational problems are the result of a little-known phenomenon called "self-deception". We deceive ourselves into thinking we're doing the right thing for the right reason, but people won't follow a leader whose motives are selfish. The tricky thing is, we don't know that our motivation is flawed. This audiobook explains what self-deception is, how people get trapped in it, how it undermines relationships and organizational achievement, and - most importantly - the surprising way to solve it.

Here is THE book recounting the life and times of one of the most respected men in the world, Warren Buffett. The legendary Omaha investor has never written a memoir, but now he has allowed one writer, Alice Schroeder, unprecedented access to explore directly with him and with those closest to him his work, opinions, struggles, triumphs, follies, and wisdom. The result is the personally revealing and complete biography of the man known everywhere as "The Oracle of Omaha."

I respect Warren Buffett and I do find his life moderately interesting. I think this book had too much detail, maybe I made the mistake in getting the unabridged version. The author seemed to be forcing the title of the book into the story. I think mostly I did not enjoy this writers style (preferring Walter Isaacson). Warren Buffett himself is very wise, I did learn from this book and it has affected my outlook.

Not only has the book described scenarios from guys I have dated recently but my ex-husband as well. I have been a fool, now I will turn over a new leaf. It seemed like he didn't care because he didn't, he just wasn't that into me...easy as that.
