For beautiful, witty Lavinia Gray, there’s only one thing worse than having to ask the appalling Parth Sterling to marry her: being turned down by him. Now the richest bachelor in England, Parth is not about to marry a woman as reckless and fashion-obsessed as Lavinia; he’s chosen a far more suitable bride. But when he learns of Lavinia's desperate circumstances, he offers to find her a husband. Even better, he’ll find her a prince. As usual, there’s no problem Parth can’t fix. But the more time he spends with the beguiling Lavinia, the more he finds himself wondering…

3.5 stars. This was a well written and character driven story. It kept me entertained from the get-go. The only thing missing for me was the chemistry b/w the h and H. It was mediocre. Kate Reading is a great narrator, but perhaps not great for reading young voices. It's hard to connect to characters and feel chemistry when their age is 20 but they sound 65.

I generally love Andi Arndt, but for the love, please get someone with an AUTHENTIC British accent. Her narration was PAINFUL! Shane East was fab, as usual...

I did not like the female lead at all...her nickname was dumb and I cringed every time Edward spoke it. Her character was snobby, immature, selfish, unrealistic. I guess the whole story seemed very unrealistic to me...the author tried way too hard with certain things. It was also very cheesy at times...I love a romance, but, this one didn't do it for me.

Ruined after succumbing to a scoundrel's excessive charm nearly a decade ago, she's lucky to obtain a position as a paid companion and committed to behaving with the utmost propriety. This was such a well written/narrated story...I didn't want to stop listening!!

I loved the characters and the setting. My only complaint was there was so much fade to black when it came to their romance. I don't mind fade to black sex, but the rest of the romantic development needs to be shown, not just told. This probably would have been a 5 star read for me had the romance been developed better.
