Olivia and her twin sister, Viola, have been dragged around the universe for as long as they can remember. Their parents, both xenobiologists, are always in high demand for their research into obscure alien biology. Just settled on a new colony world, they discover an alien threat unlike anything they’ve ever seen. And suddenly, the sisters’ world is ripped apart. On the run from terrifying aliens, Olivia’s knowledge of xenobiology and determination to protect her sister are her only weapons as the colony collapses into chaos.

It was a good story overall, but there were alot of times where I was like "let's bypass the kissing and in depth emotions". Like it had good creativity as far as the hybrid alien and some of the scenarios that happened, but it was like beating a dead horse with the "I just want to kiss her" and "have to save her, she is my sister" like 20 times. I get that there are emotions, but this was the most emotional horror story I have heard out of all the Alien books I have heard on here.

With the failure of Hadley's Hope, Weyland-Yutani has suffered a devastating setback - the loss of the Aliens they aggressively sought to exploit. Yet there's a reason the Company has risen to the top of the food chain. True to form, they have a redundancy already in place: the facility known as "The Cold Forge". Remote station RB-232 has become their greatest asset in weaponizing the Xenomorphs. However, when Dorian Sudler is sent to RB-232 to assess their progress, he discovers that there's a spy aboard - someone who doesn't necessarily act in the company's best interests.

Based upon the graphic novels by Joe Harris - with creative direction from series creator Chris Carter - and adapted specifically for the audio format by aural auteur Dirk Maggs ( The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Alien: Out of the Shadows), Cold Cases marks yet another thrilling addition to the pantheon of X-Files stories. Featuring a mind-blowing and otherworldly soundscape of liquefying aliens, hissing creatures, and humming spacecraft, listeners get to experience the duo's investigations like never before.

I like that the same characters as the original X-Files tv series were the same character voices in this audio book. I was disappointed when the tv series ended with many questions that were not answered, but this audio book definitely made up for that. If your reading this and havent heard this book yet, I encourage you to listen.

I know some people don't care for these books, but I like how much research the author does on the subjects in his books and compiles it into a outstanding series of books.
