Dark love stories of monsters and men. The last story, Creature, was the best of the three and is worth grabbing this book for that one alone.

The narrator is very good at making very different voices. You’ll never get confused as to who is speaking.

The rest remains a mystery. Gripping, yet ever elusive, join the real-life hunt for answers in the year’s first not-to-be-missed, true-crime series.

Wasn’t bad, although there was at least one episode that could have been cut. And I thought the ending would have wrapped up a bit better. I also laughed at the warning they gave that the French accents were strong, as some of the Irish accents were harder to follow. (And I’m fairly used to hearing Irish accents.)

I liked the characters but could have lived without the significant repetition from the prelude and the first part of the book. The mystery aspect of the story was a little too quickly wrapped up but the romantic parts were good. Also, more variety of names would have been nice, especially for the audio - when one of your MC’s nickname, his ferret and his bff all have very similar sounding names, it makes it unpleasant to listen to.

In a battle of the heart, who will be the first to submit? My name is Jamie Atwood, and I am an idiot. Against all odds, I got the attention of Michael Kage, the hottest MMA fighter on the planet. To say he rocked my world would be an understatement. He transformed me completely, made me depend on him, and made me love him. And the sex? Let me put it this way: I'd never been with a guy before I met Kage, but I'd gladly spend the rest of my life on my knees for him. He is my obsession and my addiction.

Before they know it, Hayden and Cody are spending more time with each other than with anyone else. But Hayden just got out of a relationship and should be spending his nights having fun and working it around town, not jumping into something serious again. Cody's always just gone with the flow, believing if it's meant to happen, it will. But life doesn't always work that way, and if they don't fight for what's right in front of them, Hayden and Cody might be over before they have the chance to even get started.

The story was good, but there was a little bit too much telling and not enough showing. I get that this kind of story will usually end up with some info dumping, but I could've done without the numerous reminders of how both the main character and his brother were the only ones of his family to survive the war. (I lost count after about the fifth time.) Despite that, I did enjoy the story and will probably pick up the sequel.

Narration - liked the different accents and he jumped smoothly from one voice to another. Not sure the main narration voice is my favourite though, as it has an odd "snooty tone" for lack of a better description. I actually like his normal speaking voice better.

Beginning of the story - I was getting a little irritated with the way it was written as it sounded more like a blog post than a novel, but the book soon found a rhythm. Would have preferred a more flushed out ending as it felt more like the end of a chapter than the end of the book. The narrator did a fabulous job with all the voices and was a pleasure to listen to.
