In the house of Helios, god of the sun and mightiest of the Titans, a daughter is born. But Circe is a strange child - not powerful, like her father, nor viciously alluring, like her mother. Turning to the world of mortals for companionship, she discovers that she does possess power - the power of witchcraft, which can transform rivals into monsters and menace the gods themselves.

Circe might be about gods and monsters, but the story it tells is poignantly, beautifully, heartbreakingly human, weaving the grand scope of mythology into something fresh and intimate. The narration could not be more perfectly suited; I would listen to Perdita Weeks for a hundred more hours, to be honest, and her voice casts a spell as effective as any of our protagonist's.

A fantastic follow-up to Vicious that continues the exploits of the characters from the first book while introducing new compelling characters as well. The narration was excellent; easy to understand, well-paced, with distinct voices for all the characters that made dialogue easy to follow without being distracting.
