"'You knew they were there, didn't you?' Kahlan asked in a hushed tone as she leaned closer. Against the darkening sky, she could just make out the shapes of three black-tipped races taking to wing, beginning their nightly hunt. That was why he'd stopped. That was what he'd been watching as the rest of them waited in uneasy silence."

I really enjoyed this one. I loved the thought experiment that is done around the bandicar (I'm sure I misspelled that name) people and their belief system.

Now it has become terrifyingly clear that the Chimes have the potential to bring down all that Richard and Kahlan have worked to protect, and even the power of the Sword of Truth may not be enough to stem the tide of their unleashed magical force. But if the Chimes cannot be stopped, first they will ravage Richard and Kahlan, then all of D'Hara, and then the entire world.

I have e really been enjoying they story line. This one has some pretty cool twists and turns. It did feel like this got rushed in the end to tie up all of the loose ends, but I guess that's better than leaving this ends untied. I'm ready for the next book.

I would agree with everyone else the mispronouncing her name was very distracting and super upsetting. I had to say the right name everytime he said the wrong just to deal with it. however his use of voices and effects he added with them was great. if he had got the name right it would have been one of the best preformances but sadly the error in pronouncing will keep it from being so. great story Tho.
