In her new thriller, America's #1 best-selling Queen of Suspense delves into a legal battle over the guilt or innocence of a man accused of murdering his wife. Very interesting twists and turns in the book. A lot of characters though so it does get a bit confusing at times but otherwise, a good listen. The narrator does a really good job.

One day, accompanying her father to work, six-year-old Kay overhears a quarrel between a man and a woman that ends with the man's caustic response: "I heard that song before." That same evening, young Peter Carrington drives the 19-year-old daughter of neighbors home from a formal dinner dance at the Carrington estate, but she is not in her room the next morning and is never seen or heard from again.

The beginning was a bit confusing as it seemed to have started at the middle of the book but once it got going, it was easy to follow. Lots of twists and turns to keep your attention. Outcome was a surprise for me.

Kept my attention throughout and when I stopped or paused it to do other things, I found myself wanting to go back to the audiobook to find out what happens next. A virtual "page turner" - MHC did a good job with this book.
