It took me a few chapters to get into it. A lot of characters to keep up with for the first few chapters but by chapter six I was hooked. As a huge fan of Immortals After dark series, Black Dagger Brotherhood series, Seven series and Silver series I was desperate for something of the same quality I had to search to find this one. Worth the search so far!
Give me some sexy men, good story line, a tad bit of hot sex & away we go!

If you enjoy the series you will love this latest installment. Murder finally gets his story. Hope we get a book with Lassiter’s story. Miss the Scribe Virgin. Lots of new stories could follow if author wants to take us there.

This book & the story stayed with me for longer than any has in a long time. Heartbreaking, humorous and sweet all hidden in a supernatural romance. Hit so many chords of how complicated life can be all while keeping true to supernatural entertainment.

So glad the series is headed in the direction it seems to headed in. We all want a happily ever after for Rachel & maybe someday, she will get hers with a man she has secretly loved all along. (She just didn't know it!)

What made the experience of listening to Cop Town the most enjoyable?

The way the story grabs you and throws you back in time and keeps you there. I found myself loving some of the old catch phrases from "back in the day"..."Hey Mamma!" I love the character development and evolvement. At times the story had me so involved I got angry at certain characters and wanted yell.....Simply put Karin Slaughter can take me to 1970's era Atlanta GA anytime and it is always a great trip!

What did you like best about this story?

The time and place setting for the storyline. It was like getting in the TARDIS with Doctor Who and going back to 1970 in the deep "at times ugly" south. I grew up in this place and time so I can tell you she got it just right.

Have you listened to any of Kathleen Early’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. The author can write a great book but if the person reading it isn't talented, it can turn the book to poo. Kathleen Early takes a good book and turns it into a great book and a treat to enjoy. However this time she took a great book and made it supreme.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Policewoman in Atlanta during the early 70's

Any additional comments?

Simply put, it's a great read (listen). If you have enjoyed the William Trent series, you will love this book.

This book has a little something for everyone. Ghosts, suspense, dirty politicians, cults, Nazi want to be groups, sex, romance, murder and feel good family reunions.....

Would you recommend Phantom Evil to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes, I would recommend it to anyone that likes romantic mysteries and supernatural suspense

What made the experience of listening to The Whole Enchilada: A Novel of Suspense the most enjoyable?

Great story. The book kept my attention from the beginning to the end. Love this series but the author really went the extra mile with this one.
I enjoyed the "puzzle" within the story, the review of history for the main character and the way it was all tied up in the end.
BY THE WAY....SPOILERS......SO HAPPY with how this book ended. I for one have been waiting for this to happen in the storyline for a long time. Great way to bring it about.
Very touching.....I laughed....then I cried (with joy) for Goldie.

What other book might you compare The Whole Enchilada: A Novel of Suspense to and why?

Perhaps this is comparable to the book (can't remember the title of the specific book in the series) in which Goldie's first husband the JeRK was murdered.

Which character – as performed by Barbara Rosenblat – was your favorite?

Toss up between Marla and Goldie. Love em both.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The end. SPOILERS.....the end was such a wonderful surprise and sweet gift the author gave us. Such a great way to end the story.

Any additional comments?

Read it or listen to it especially if you have read prior books in the series. This is the BEST one thus far. Thank you Diane Mott-Davidson for this one!

Would you consider the audio edition of Just Desserts to be better than the print version?

Have not read the written edition of this book.

What did you like best about this story?

An interesting assortment of characters. I liked that the main character is from the south and she is proud of her southern roots. She is smart and sassy with a taste for chocolate.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Savanna pretends to be a drunk woman looking for her cheating boyfriend as a ploy to get into the apartment of an escaped prisoner.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Southern comfort meets southern California

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to character development and meeting all of Savanna's family.

If you could sum up Naked in Death in three words, what would they be?

Dallas, Roake, Fireworks

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

It is hard to answer this because I have listened to this book so many times! I have either listened to or read all books in this series and I go back to this book and listen to it so I can compare the characters started out and how they have evolved. As I recall yes, the first time I read (listened) to this book, I was unsure what was going to happen next.

Have you listened to any of Susan Ericksen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I can not imagine listening to a book in this series without her reading it! She is great. I have listened to other books she has read and she one of my favorite readers/performers.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The first time Eve and Roake met...you could just tell that there were gonna be fireworks between them.

Any additional comments?

GREAT book, great series. Nora Roberts aka J.D. Robb has taken two characters and given them friends, family, and built a future world we are all able to see through their eyes.

Would you consider the audio edition of Criminal to be better than the print version?

As the director of a clinical research company, I don't have time to read for pleasure. I listen to audio books while traveling either by auto, plane or train. For this reason, I am unable to compare a written version to an audio version.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The vivid description of how women were treated in the workplace back in the 1970's and especially in the south, in an all male workforce was great. I really felt as if I were taken back in time. I live close to Atlanta so all the landmarks and politics were spot on. I was told stories of how businesses were back then and this book really does tell it how it was. Also, I thought this book brought much needed background to the Will Trent chacracter. It was a book I didn't want to end. I could have listened to ten more hours......maybe more,
I was so pleased to see that Will could find happiness with Sarah. Both are loveable and deserved to find one another. Hate to say it but the next book should be about Will investigating his wifes murder.....I think that will be the only way he will be able to let go of the pain she continues to cause.

Any additional comments?

PLEASE WRITE MORE BOOKS WITH WILL TRENT, SARAH LINTON, FAITH MITCHELL AND AMANDA WAGNER IN THEM.....PLEASE
