Imagine a helpless, pregnant 16-year-old who's just been yanked from the serenity of her home and shoved into a dirty van. Kidnapped. Alone. Terrified. Now forget her.... Picture instead a pregnant, 16-year-old, manipulative prodigy. She is shoved into a dirty van and, from the first moment of her kidnapping, feels a calm desire for two things: to save her unborn son and to exact merciless revenge.

The idea behind this story is interesting- the story is fast paced and bizarre. There are some significant glaring medical errors- which could have easily been researched- and the story probably could've ended 4 hours early and been better.

Performance: excellent.

Victoria McQueen has an uncanny knack for finding things: a misplaced bracelet, a missing photograph, answers to unanswerable questions. When she rides her bicycle over the rickety old covered bridge in the woods near her house, she always emerges in the places she needs to be. Vic doesn't tell anyone about her unusual ability, because she knows no one will believe her. She has trouble understanding it herself.

What would have made NOS4A2 better?

If Joe Hill could've spent 6 minutes on the internet googling his medical statements, this book could've been so much better!
For example: EKG does not equal EEG. Nitrogen is not a combustible gas!
C'mon, you're better than that.

I have a hard time with suspension of disbelief if real information is made up. If you know anything about medicine, or chemistry, you may want to just get this from the library, and not cough up the cash.
