Like most, I grew up watching the John Wayne movie. Then later the Jeff Bridges movie. I've know of the book all the while but never once read it, or thought to read it. Eight hours ago i suddenly remembered it. looked it up on amazon and found there was an audio book.
I couldn't stop listening to this story I already knew so well. Donna Tartt's voice is almost exactly how I had always envisioned "the Real Matty Ross" would have sounded. She does marvels to this timeless classic.

ive been on the PCT several times, though not as a Thru-Hiker. I hope that one day I'll be able to do it. this books makes me want to find a way sooner rather than later.
Excellent stories and tales. I laughed at some. Understood the misery at others. And enjoyed it all.

The narrator voice is exactly perfect for a Disney story.
This book was short but entertaining. I loved it.

What would have made Black Hawk Down better?

Black Hawk Down is a story with such a vast number of people that the telling of the story made me lose track of who exactly we were talking about and when it was happening. Maybe focusing it a little more on specific teams, or seperating the story in a whole by different teams would have made reading/listening easier.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

I found the narration a little dry and sometimes difficult to follow.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It's a great story. It really is. There's tales of true heroism in the chapters. But the way it's written just isn't easy to follow and can get tedious at times.

I enjoyed listening to this presentation. it's a subject I'm always reading about, watching youtube videos about, and discussing and brainstorming ideas and methods with friends.

that being said, there's a lot of good information here for when shtf. water storage and treatment I found to be the most intriguing.

the narrator did well for the subject matter, talking slow enough to understand, but not at a boring snails pace.

it's a good listen for anyone who wants more information or affirmation of techniques already in place, or to simply brainstorm new ideas and come to different solutions.

I feel as though this book was delightfully dreary. Fantastically dull. And wonderfully irritating.

This presentation served to remind me that I know nothing, or rather used to know nothing, about Wicca.
This isn't a narrative on why anyone should become Wiccan, but more an informative piece to those who are even the slightest bit curious about it. or those who may wish to expand their personal knowledge on the subject. While the book is short, it is 24 minutes of enlightening information on a subject that really isn't well known and one that tends to get perverted by pop culture.
The overall presentation is easy to follow and the narrator did a good job keeping the subject matter flowing.
I would recommend this audio book to anyone who wants to better understand this often misunderstood culture. It's a great introduction by an expert in the field and is narrated in such a way as to not dry the subject out.
