It’s been a while since I’ve listened to a book like this one.
Julia Whelan was Fantastic with all her voices and just made this listen wonderful.
The story was very different than what I usually listen too.
Yes, it was sad, and frustrating to believe Cora, the mother took so much abuse from her husband. But this is a very true
Fact that what happens with PTSD. Those who can’t handle sad real life,, don’t listen to this one.
Kristen Hannah put together a very gripping and wonderful story of how Lennie made her way through moving to Alaska with her parents whose relationship was so damaged and destructive.
I couldn’t put this one down and probably will listen to this again next year.
Loved Loved Loved this book.
Kristin Hannah is an amazing writer.
A big Thank You for this wonderful listen.

The first time I laid eyes on Lydia Decker, I couldn’t speak. Or breathe. Or string two coherent thoughts together. And I don’t mean any of that figuratively. No, when I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker - my physical therapist - I was lying flat on my back in the ICU, high as a kite on painkillers, breathing on a ventilator, my bones as broken and splintered as my spirit. She said she’d been assigned to fix me. But what I didn’t know...what I couldn’t possibly know...was that Lydia Decker needed fixing far more than I ever did.

I really loved this book. It just kept getting better and better.
Lauren Rowe did a great job with narrating her own book.
John Lane was perfect narrator for this part and just made me laugh with his nicknames and cutting up.
Don’t miss out on this fun romance story.

My first review was that I couldn’t get past the 11th chapter and quit. It is a slow start and not exciting at all.
I went back to it since I was in a place that I could give it 100% attention.
There were still many many parts of the book that just wasn’t that great.
I hung in there and it started to get better.
Lou going back to England for Christmas was eye opening. I also love the way this author made her Mum so so funny.
Her relationship with Sam. Good writing there.
Then the SURPRISE from her NY employers. See, it really got better.
The rest of the book was good.
Glad I gave it another try.

I think I’m over purchasing J. Bengtsson’s books. The first in the Cake Series was great. The second was not so good about the Survivor Show take off. Fiercely Emma was very good. This one was nothing but trivial incidents in Jake and Casey’s life and it wasn’t exciting, interesting or fun.
I kept on listening to see if there was anything coming but nothing did until the very end when Jake comes to grips with his kidnapping.
I also read Bengtsson’s newest book and it was the worst of the all. I couldn’t get past 2 hours of it. Ditched it.
Write something that you can hang onto and get interested in. Not there I guess.

I've never been afraid of the dark...but that doesn't mean I wanted to live in it. Maybe everyone wants what they can't have, but I should've thought it over before I unlocked the door to their forbidden world. Number One is mostly silent. He watches me very carefully. Number Two is mostly gentle. But it's the other side of him I like best. Number Three is mostly reserved. It was carnal, it was sensual, and it was erotic. That's it. That's all it was supposed to be. A trip into the dark. A peek into the forbidden. I just didn't expect to like them.

LOVE Romance Books!!! Love a good story and all the fun and give and take of Romance Novels.
This isn't one of them.
I do love steamy scenes, but this one was YIKES!
People having sex with those they don't know, in sex clubs, with cameras and just way out of my league.
So wanted to warn those who are reading the reviews for this one.
Not your typical Romance Book.

J. Bengtsson is a pretty good author. I’ve listened to 3 of her books in the Cake Series.
She does have a lot of dull empty filler spots in her books where you keep thinking, where is this going and why is she spending so much time on this. In the Cake series, you can get past it and the story gets so much better.
The 3 stars are for Zachary Webber with the Preformance which is always wonderful. I wasn’t crazy about Callie Dalton’s voice and was just starting to get used to it but couldn’t get into the story at all.
This book had one of the worst beginnings and I tried to stick with it.
There was no emotion or anything to pull you in or keep your interest. Maybe after the fire gets to both of them, it might get better and draw you in, but I couldn’t listen that long.
Good Luck to those that make it through.
I know some liked it, it has good ratings??

Wanting the perfect man doesn't make me crazy. I just know what I like. A powerful billionaire in a suit wasn't even my first choice. McAllister Stonewall was never on my radar; I didn't even know he existed. I do now. His hands are all over me at work. The heat of his chest pressing against my bare back as he bends me over the desk is the only thing on my mind. He is my most forbidden desires unleashed. He is my new secret obsession. He is my Mr. Perfect. Until the moment I realize there's no such thing as perfect.

I am a Narrator critic. And probably a little too much. They can make or really break a book.
Rob Shapiro is one of my favorites of all time. He made this book so much better.
I wish he narrated more books. He just has everything it takes to draw you into his character.
Rob Shapiro is why I gave the performance 5 stars.
This is my first JA Huss book and it didn’t wow me like the reviews did.
Narrator Ava Erickson was not that good. She sounded too much like a teenager and just didn’t fit the part.

I still gave this 4 stars because the last half got better and better.
Won’t be listening to Mr. Romance which is the next book in the series. Just don’t think it’s worth a credit.

My name is Sebastian Lindstrom, and I'm the villain of this story. I've decided to lay myself bare. To tell the truth for once in my hollow life, no matter how dark it gets. And I can assure you, it will get so dark that you'll find yourself feeling around the blackened corners of my mind, seeking a door handle that isn't there. Don't mistake this for a confession. I neither seek forgiveness nor would I accept it. My sins are my own. They keep me company. Instead, this is the true tale of how I found her, how I stole her, and how I lost her.

I laughed at the character Link as the author made him such a jerk. It was a good fun listen taking him in towards the end.

Loved all the narration.

Twenty-five years ago, the major emerged a hero from the bombing of the Pegasus Hotel in downtown Dallas when he was photographed leading a handful of survivors out of the collapsing building. The iconic picture transformed him into a beloved national icon, in constant demand for speeches and interviews - until he suddenly dropped out of the public eye.

The story was so good. It’s a little slow starting off, but with each chapter, it does get better and more intriguing. This is the type of story where you can’t miss a sentence or chapter because you will miss out on what’s going on. There are a lot of twists and turns with this one.
This book does have some steamy sex scenes. I think it added a lot to Kerra and Flapper. The back and forth with them just made the sex scenes fit into this story with their build up of a relationship. Well Done Sandra Brown!!!!

Victor Slezak has so many different voices for these characters and does a great job with all of them. He makes you snicker and laugh with many of them.
Best of all, I love how he portrays Flapper. He makes his personality jump out at you and laugh so many times.
Of course Sandra Brown’s writing is so good.
Welcome Back Victor, please continue your narration! I just love it!!

There is nothing negative I can say about this book.
The Narrators, of course, are two of the BEST. I have to say Zachary Webber voice for Frankie, Rexs little 3 year old, is hysterical. It is so cute and could not wait to hear her talk through the book.
The Story is so good. Easy Listen, emotional, and I did not want to put this one down.
A.L. Jackson writing is sometimes so full of way too deep emotion, too much sometimes, but this book is better than some of her other ones.
Worth a credit? YES YES.
