I think the book overall was really good even though it was a little hard to get into at the beginning. It got better as the book went on and I will definitely pick up the next one in the series.

Brent Jones did an amazing job of putting us in the mind of a tortured soul and following her journey. Kristen James did a great job of bringing that soul to life. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a book a little on the darker side.

The book is ok, but I just wouldn't put it in a classic category. It was well written but just a little weird in places. I think the narrator helped to bring the story to life.

I really enjoyed the take that the author presented on a dystopian world. The fact that it was robots and essentially clones that she was faced with gave it a unique flavor. The narrators both did a great job of portraying the world and it's characters.

Agent Franks of the U.S. Monster Control Bureau is a man of many parts - parts from other people, that is. Franks is nearly seven feet tall and all muscle. He's nearly indestructible. Plus he’s animated by a powerful alchemical substance and inhabited by a super-intelligent spirit more ancient than humanity itself. Good thing he’s on our side. More or less.

In the 25th century, humankind has spread throughout the galaxy, monitored by the watchful eye of the U.N. While divisions in race, religion, and class still exist, advances in technology have redefined life itself. Now, assuming one can afford the expensive procedure, a person's consciousness can be stored in a cortical stack at the base of the brain and easily downloaded into a new body (or "sleeve") making death nothing more than a minor blip on a screen.
