Nell Ingram has always known she was different. Since she was a child, she's been able to feel and channel ancient powers from deep within the earth. When she met Jane Yellowrock, her entire life changed, and she was recruited into PsyLED - the Homeland Security division that polices paranormals. But now her newly formed unit is about to take on its toughest case yet. A powerful senator barely survives an assassination attempt that leaves many others dead - and the house he was visiting burns to the ground.

This has to be my favorite of the series. Nell is growing and becoming. This book has mystery, romance, action and resolution!📣
Don't miss out.
The narration is on point as usual. I finished this book and tried to start another book but was so unhappy because I wanted K. Hvam back.

This was listed as a children's book but I don't think it is. The creep factor is high and there's a lot going on. I absolutely love the level of action and I think most paranormal fans will love this series. The main character is 13 but the things going on in the story are definitely adult situations. There's no sex or really any romantic moments so if you don't like sex breaks it's perfect for you.

I think Robin Miles will be one of my new favorite narrators. Her style is smooth and her cadence os hypnotic. I forgot she was reading and fell into the story.
The story has SciFi and Fantasy elements that blend well. Characters are well thought out and no one is perfect. I believe everyone will find someone to relate to in this series.
Well done Brandon Barr. I can't wait for the next in the series.

I did not expect to get so wrapped up in this series. Faith Hunter and Kristine Hvam have done it again. I am glad I purchased this book and will be buying the rest as they come out.
Nell is a survivor of a cult in which she was born and raised. The pseudo Christian cult isn't happy with her escape.
Rick (original character from Jane Yellowrock) an FBI Agent needing help to get information on the cult comes into her life and turns it upside down.
Nell finds herself working with the government she was raised to distrust.
Her connection to her land and strange developing powers help her and the team she becomes a part of as they go in and attempt to rescue missing girls with their own surprising secrets.

I have to say that I am very impressed with Faith Hunter's ability to write original stories and keep me interested.
Nell is a fantastic character that has an amazing inner strength. Her ability to be her own compass is inspiring.
I finished this book and like the last one, I am on pins and needles for the next.
K. Hvam is so talented a narrator that I forget someone is reading and I fall into the world she is reading.
These two are an amazing team.
It is an automatic buy when I see either of their names.
