Rachel Hollis is absolutely amazing. This book is absolutely amazingly honest, witty, funny, soul hugging, tear jerking and everything I could ever hope for in a book. I’m already signing on to follow her on Instagram and her website... she is THAT awesome. Seriously though... I have found my “Spirit Animal”. Well worth the listen.

For generations the Bradford family has worn the mantle of kings of the bourbon capital of the world. Their sustained wealth has afforded them prestige and privilege - as well as a hard-won division of class on their sprawling estate, Easterly. Upstairs, a dynasty that by all appearances plays by the rules of good fortune and good taste. Downstairs, the staff who work tirelessly to maintain the impeccable Bradford facade. And never the twain shall meet. For Lizzie King, Easterly's head gardener, crossing that divide nearly ruined her life.

Be forewarned, this story will sweep you off your feet and take your breath away. J.R. Ward doles out yet another addictive page burner that leaves us counting the days until the next story is released. Watch out now- we still have a year until the next one! Well done!

The writing is impeccable, the narrator is good (although I really wish they had a male and female narrator- his southern lady accent is a little much) but all in all I can't wait for more!!!!!!!!

I found an envelope in the mail. No return address. My name on the front, my address. Inside was a check, made out to me, in the amount of 10 thousand dollars. Enough to pay the bills and leave me some left over to live on until I found a job. Enough to let me focus on classes. There was no name on the check, just "VRI Inc.", and a post office box address for somewhere in the city. No hint of identity or reason for the check or anything. No mention of repayment, interest, nothing...except a single word, on the notes line: "You." Just those three letters.

So how did I get myself into this situation, you ask? Simple: desperation. When you're faced with being homeless and hungry or taking off your clothes for money, the choice is easier than you'd imagine. That doesn't make it simple, though. Oh no. I hate it, in fact. There's nothing I'd like more than to quit and never go into another bar again, never hear the techno beat pulsing in my ears again, never feel the lecherous gazes of horny men again. Then, one day, I meet a man. He's in my club, front and center. He watches me do my routine, and his gaze is full of hunger.

This story had my hooked. It was so well done! My only complaint is that the Author set a precedent of thoroughness for most of the book - however - the end was choppy and jumped around only to briefly capture the milestones. Wilder covered so much ground and detail of Grey's broken relationship with her father in the beginning only to drop that off completely and touch very briefly on it later. It felt rushed at the end. I wish this was more than one book!

What would you give up for everything? Tristan Stone was powerful, commanding, and sex incarnate. And he wore it all so well. From the moment his mesmerizing gaze met mine, I had no choice but surrender to everything he was. His power. His decadence. His passion. He was all I never knew I needed. He wanted to possess me, and I wanted to be his everything. All I had to do was accept what he offered. But everything has a price.

This is my first review of a book after listening to many many books over my years as an audible member. I love all things romantic - however this book was strange and threw me for a loop. I wont give details away... but I will say that this story starts off promising, then the main character meets "the man" and then it gets weird. There are many times where I found myself saying "Wait - What??!!! That doesn't make sense - who would do that?!" and not in a good way. There were parts of the story where I felt it was ironing out and the author found her rhythm, and then it happens again! I wanted to love this book - and I tried... but I have to say that even though the story goes on in another book - I don't think I will be purchasing it.

I am a BIG fan of the J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood novels, and let me be the first to say that if you are searching for a series to feed your BDB obsession - this series is it! The narration is SUPERB! The story is well written, and each book is heavily linked with the story before it. The characters and the plot sequence are well executed... I'M HOOKED! I can not wait for the next release in the series! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
