Eye opening author! It goes beyond psychology- we are blank slates, the only truth that matters is what we believe about ourselves and how we can use that to improve and shape our lives.

I had been a self help junkie, always analyzing how to get motivated. The 5 second rule is about breaking that habit loop and keeping an anchor on your vision. I love that Mel is so authentic about her struggles and the stories of the people who had struggled as well but then applied the 5 second rule and it changed everything.

If you could sum up Start in three words, what would they be?

Objective,honest, grit.

Who was your favorite character and why?

One of my favorite stories from the book was the story of Alex Honnold, the one legged mountain climber who is in his element when he is in the mountains, in spite of of his limitations. I also enjoyed the question posed something along the lines of : who are you not to pursue your dreams? Your light helps other people shine. Imagine if the person that found the cure for X had not? START.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Witty,relatable,stories and encouragement.

Any additional comments?

Success is defined only by you. Most sucessful people have a daily routines and a faith in themsevles (confidence) and go through the different stages of the pursuit of their goals. That gets you to the best version of you. Who knows whom you might be in the future? Be your secret self :)
