This is my absolute favorite book. I have listened twice and taken something away from it differently each time. I love that I didn't expect the end, it kept me on the edge of my seat, and mixed mystery with history!

For months, Cathy Wood has fed the Alpine Manor residents, bathed them, and even moistened their eyes with artificial tears. To her, without their memories, the residents live in a state worse than death - and she has decided to relieve them of their pain. Wood and her lover, Gwen Graham, make a pact to kill those whom they were hired to care for. No one notices when an elderly person dies a quiet death, but as these two slip deeper into their plan, the terrible secret becomes unbearable.

This book was extremely intriguing! I work in long term care in Michigan. The book was riveting and presents an interesting profile of a true psychopath. I hope she's never released.

Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret - something with the potential to destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive....

I love reading a book where I don't know what is going to happen. This book does an excellent job of developing characters, keeping the story going, and connecting characters. The end is surprising and I truly enjoyed the book.

I love this narrator and have bought other books just because she read them, but this time her pronunciation of "S" was like a slithering snake or chalk on a chalkboard... it didn't impact my enjoyment of the story though!

Would you listen to Mockingjay again? Why?

Probably not.

Would you be willing to try another book from Suzanne Collins? Why or why not?

Yes - Overall good characters, good story

Which scene was your favorite?

?

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No

Any additional comments?

The main character seems to deteriorate in this book - she becomes wishy-washy vs strong in the other books and seems to whine. This book can drag on.
