I liked the story it is a strange Cinderella story but the narrator didn’t do it any good. Her voice is simple, she has no clue how the pronounce French words.
The main character is extremely simple and admits it too many times.

I loved the story but the narration was nothing to write home about... especially when the narrator was trying to use a different sound for the different characters... in most cases she sounded like a robot and with a quicker paste...
if you can get over the narration than I recommend this book

I am not a Christian in fact I am a Jew, and this book as strange as it was, is a very interesting commentary on the Biblical story and the Biblical commentary.
In the Jewish commentary Lilith is the first woman created for Adam, but her wit caused the need to creat naive Eve. When I decided to buy this book I thought (actually I hoped) that Lilith as a woman will seduce Eve I was strangely surprised...
And as for my imagination? I could not go that far... so Well done Eliza Andrews your imagination is hilarious.
Narration btw was excellent. Thank you Angela Rysk, you took a great risk (pan intended) reading this book
Last thing, it always pleases me when I realize that the writer is very well read and brings “support” from classics...

the first thing I learnt from it is that some times you should not read the review or at least read it but don’t make a decision because of it.

I loved the 1st book because it was about college in a way, and I love this currant book because it deals with life closer to 40...
I am waiting for a book closer to my age... :)
No doubt Angela Rysk was an important component in the appealing of the book.

I am not so much into sports novels, and this one is around basketball, especially college basketball. in fact it is a little young for me. But I find this book extremely important, for old lesbians like me, in my case working as a professor at an American university, being non American, as this book opened up a window to the lives of some of my students, who are in college sports and are gay.
It is important for closeted students who are in college sport teams and need a support.
It is important for young people who deal with loss of a close friend/parent etc.
And now to the book the story and the narration:
The story is very well developed the characters are believable and interesting, there was not a moment when anything was completely predictable and I personally love surprises.
The narration was excellent Angela Rysk did a very good job bringing the book to life.
All in all I am looking forward to read the second book in this 2 book series.
