Demi doesn’t expect her summer in Cornwall to hold anything out of the ordinary. As a waitress, working all hours to make ends meet, washing dishes and serving ice creams seems to be as exciting as the holiday season is about to get. That’s until she meets Cal Penwith. An outsider like herself, Cal is persuaded to let Demi help him renovate his holiday resort, Kilhallon Park. Set above an idyllic Cornish cove, the once popular destination for tourists has now gone to rack and ruin.

The author has written an interesting, but slow book. It was very hard to get into it. The reader was so disapointing. I couldn't figure out who was talking. Her voice was so uninteresting. I doubt if I will continue with this series if this reader is being used. Further editing would really help the book.

A poacher is at work in Sinful, Louisiana, and Deputy Carter LeBlanc is hot on the trail of the outlaw, trying to apprehend him before the state gets wind of the crime and sends a game warden to take over his investigation. Unfortunately, he's hindered every step of the way by Sinful's current mayor and all-around horrible person, Celia Arceneaux, who wants nothing more than to drive Carter to resign. When a game warden turns up with evidence that implicates a relative of Gertie's, Carter is left with no choice but to arrest the boy, even though no one thinks he did it.

Absolutely enjoyable! Good storyline and I really love the storyteller, she is top notch. But, my husband has decreed that I have been reading too many audibles and he wants me to find less expensive books from now on. Or to visit our local library once a week.

I really wanted to enjoy this book, but it was impossible. The worst part is the narrator. She is awful. I will be very careful to avoid her in the future. The storyline was slow and frustratingly empty of much substance. Next time I won't be in such a hurry to select a book before I read the reviews.

When best-selling mystery writer David Rosenfelt and his family moved from Southern California to Maine, he thought he had prepared for everything. They had mapped the route, brought three GPSs for backup, as well as refrigerators full of food, and stoves and microwaves on which to cook them. But traveling with 25 dogs turned out to be a bigger ordeal than he anticipated, despite RVs, the extra kibble, volunteers (including a few readers), and camping equipment.

Loved the book! I read it straight through and even played portions for my husband. We laughed together at the many wonderful dog antics he described so well. I could visualize it all. I would have loved to go on that epic journey to Maine. Thank you for writing such a fun book. Each one of those dogs were imprinted on my heart. This book will be read again.

Loved the book for the second time. I read it myself the first time and this time I bought the audio. Wonderful! My only frustration is with the narrator..in capturing all the different voices, his voice rarely changed enough to differentiate between each character. Otherwise, I enjoy reading books by John Grisham.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were great and the storyline kept my interest. I would have given four stars except for the sex scenes. I don't appreciate them, they are unnecessary to the story. The narrator was ok, but not great. In my opinion he failed in convincing me that those voices were women or children. I doubt if I will listen or read this author again.

Tessa Wilson's life is all over the map. She may be clumsy, but this time she's stumbled into a pickle by choice, not by accident. She's agreed to take a month-long trip around Texas jammed into a '59 Cadillac with a drama-loving teenager, two elderly spitfires, and - oh, yes - her biological mama who gave her away at birth. And the ride gets even crazier when hot-as-sin cowboy Branch Thomas crosses into her lane. They don't call him the sexiest man in the Lone Star State for nothin'.
