Gay werewolves in Victorian London? Why yes, yes there are.

Biffy, newly minted Alpha of the London Pack, is not having a good Christmas. His Beta abandoned him, his werewolves object to his curtain choices, and someone keeps leaving babies on his doorstep.

Professor Randolph Lyall returns home to London after 20 years abroad, afraid of what he might find. With his pack in chaos and his Alpha in crisis, it will take all his Beta efficiency to set everything to rights. Perhaps, in the process, he may even determine how to mend his own heart.

I thoroughly enjoy all of Gail Carriger's stories no matter the length. The universe that's been created is one that is easy to pick up and leaves you wanting more. Speaking of more hopefully a story following Lord Akeldama will soon be coming.

As a cargo ship rockets across the galaxy to Canto Bight, the deckhands onboard trade stories about legendary Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker. But are the stories of iconic and mysterious Luke Skywalker true or merely tall tales passed from one corner of the galaxy to another? Is Skywalker really a famous Jedi hero, an elaborate charlatan, or even part droid? The deckhands will have to decide for themselves when they hear The Legends of Luke Skywalker.

This was a great nod to the different versions of stories and how things can be changed. It was really awesome to listen to little nods to reality. AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY

Audie Award, Multi-Voiced Performance, 2016. The year is 2575, and two rival mega-corporations are at war over a planet that's little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra - who are barely even talking to each other - are forced to fight their way onto one of the evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit.

The audiobook is censored, I don't know if the print version is as well but it's off putting.

A hacker who identifies himself only as "Warlock" brings down the FBI's website and posts a code in its place that leads to a Michigan cemetery, where a dead girl is discovered rising from the ground - as if she tried to crawl out of her own grave.

What made the experience of listening to Angel Killer the most enjoyable?

...and now I want more.

Having the element of magic just made the story more relatable to me or anyone else who has seen a magic show. The elements of magic used also helped to keep the mystery alive because nothing you saw through the characters eyes was what it appeared to be at first glance.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jessica is proving that she's able to handle things that perhaps even she didn't think she could and that strong character trait always makes for an excellent character. d

What about Jennifer O'Donnell and Fred Berman ’s performance did you like?

It was very easy to listen to and believe that the performers were talking form their characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

The tale of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and the fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker has become modern myth, an epic tragedy of the corruption of a young man in love into darkness, the rise of evil, and the power of good triumphing in the end. But it didn't start out that way. In this thorough account of one of cinema's most lasting works, Michael Kaminski presents the true history of how Star Wars was written, from its beginnings as a science fiction fairy tale to its development over three decades into the epic we now know, chronicling the methods, techniques, thought processes, and struggles of its creator.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This book could easily have been cut to half it's size by taking out all the redundant information.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Shifting Shadows by Patricia Briggs

What aspect of Josh Robert Thompson’s performance would you have changed?

None, JRT was the only saving factor in this book but that only made it bearable to listen to.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Secret History of Star Wars?

I could easily cut 25% to 50% of the book just due to simple redundant information being repeated over and over again.
