As the fifth book in The New Homefront Series, Viking One serves as a stand-alone novel, chronicling the apparently orchestrated collapse of our fragile, modern world from the perspective of Jim and Lori Rutherford and friends, as their small town of Delaware City, Delaware begins to feel the noose tighten around them. As a preparedness-minded individual, Jim and crew, working together with friends, neighbors, and local authorities, try to secure their beloved town while keeping their minds open to the possibility of fleeing.

I enjoyed the previous books. This one lost me. Dry dull faux rushed action. I also liked the narrator previously, but I only made it a few hours into this one before I moved on. I’ll try you again later Mr Bird. Meh

This book tells a great story interesting characters very well written, but I smell a rat. I know when I’m being manipulated this book is way too short. Unnatural stopping spot ending book 1. It was only five hours on Audible.

Again the story is great I’m having a hard time with the value

Just too dang short. All 3 are short. Make it 2 books instead of 3. This book 1 leaves off mid story. I appreciate mystere, but this is mid plot. Plays "desperate for 3 books" vs "interestingly crafted cliffhanger"

Kevin Pierce is awesome, as usual.

Ready to see what happens in book 2, someone owes me a audible credit! :)
