One of Faulkner's comic masterpieces, The Reivers is a picaresque story that tells of three unlikely car thieves from rural Mississippi. Eleven-year-old Lucas Priest is persuaded by Boon Hogganbeck, one of his family's retainers, to steal his grandfather's car and make a trip to Memphis. The priests' black coachman, Ned McCaslin, stows away, and the three of them are off on a heroic odyssey.
I have enjoyed it very, very much

4 days in the life of an eleven year old
Like Hemingway with one day in the life of an old man at sea, your intrest in the four days spent in this novel is held from begining to end. Life lessons learned.Enjoyable.

The divers, realizing the momentousness of their discovery, began probing the mystery. Over the next six years, they became expert and well-traveled researchers, taught themselves German, hunted for clues in Germany, and constructed theories corrective of the history books, all in an effort to identify this sunken U-boat and its crew.

Takes you to the water and beyond.
If you have ever spent time near the water and around people who love the ocean this book will take you there. Sharing new exploration, a real treasure hunt this day and age. You feel you are on the boat and in the water with the crew sharing all the adventure...good and bad.
