To me, this is Carey's best work. Its like this is her story and she is reliving it. All of that to say too that the monologue is incredibly smart and emotional. Very thought provoking about our society and family.

Highlighting the fascinating link between a child’s neurological development and the way a parent reacts to misbehavior, No-Drama Discipline provides an effective, compassionate road map for dealing with tantrums, tensions, and tears - without causing a scene. Defining the true meaning of the “d” word (to instruct, not to shout or reprimand), the authors explain how to reach your child, redirect emotions, and turn a meltdown into an opportunity for growth.

This is worth a listen, especially the cliff notes at the end. It was a little hard to get through because it seemed repetitive. However, their theories and practical advice will stick with me.

As usual, it hard for me to turn off a book in this series. I enjoyed this one quite a bit, although I will agree that the narrator's American accents/voices made me cringe because they didn't seem to match those characters at all in the way I pictured them. Her English accents were enjoyable, though. Wondering if there will be a follow up or not. Another cliff hanger as usual.
