Ms. Cooke had created an intriguing tale involving other worlds and other species. The best part? She intwined it with our own in one of the most intriguing ways possible. I highly recommend joining this amazing storyteller and the beautifully voiced Ms. Maarleveld as they take you on a dazzling journey to Incendium!

Dear Reader: Seductive and mysterious, Merlyn was the laird of Ravensmuir - never had a man so stirred my body and soul. I gave myself to him - willingly, trustingly, passionately - and we soon wed. Then a horrible revelation emerged, shattering my innocence and my marriage... Five years later, Merlyn returned to my doorstep, desperate for my help. The scoundrel swore he was haunted by memories of me, that a treasure locked in Ravensmuir could clear his name.

I LOVE this story. There were places where the storyteller seemed to ramble, but I have read this book previously and don't recall the story itself being that way. Overall, this was a very enjoyable listen and the story of Isabella and Merlyn quite a beautiful one. A must listen for all!

For years she has struggled to control her gifts, but years living inside one serial killer's head after another has taken its toll, and Alex has reached the end of the road. Barely able to control her gifts any longer, Alex retreats from the world to live at her grandparents farm where she grew up.

What made the experience of listening to Rune Gate the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the story line and the fact that Mr. Cooper surprised me at every corner. That has become hard for authors to do.

What other book might you compare Rune Gate to and why?

I found this book to be entirely in it's own category. It was refreshing and original with plenty of suspense. The addition of the paranormal elements made it extremely enjoyable.

Have you listened to any of Mikael Naramore’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to any of Mr. Naramore's previous work.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Even murder is never what it seems.

Any additional comments?

I loved listening to this book. The writing was masterful and the story was so enjoyable. Can't wait to listen to the next one in the series!
