This book is a solidly written adventure, with a good narrator, I was having a bad time differentiating some characters in the first few chapters, but that completely vanished by the end, dunno maybe I was just too tired to pay attention.
The story was captivating even if at times the stakes were not felt, and a wee bit rushed at a few occasions glossing over some imho important developments that were happening uh... off screen(?).
Probably going to get the sequels, I'd recommend this for anyone who likes space adventures and pseudo military fictions.

I really enjoyed this one, good characters, intriguing story and a decent narration. A really wholesome post apocalyptic, survival thriller, that begs for a sequel.

Both the story and the performance is top notch. The characters are unique and well rounded. The narrative is very well paced, and genuinely inspiring to listen to the whole thing in one sitting. It is funny without ever getting tiresome even though it pits Diablarie's boasting a constant source of hilarity. The twists are not cheap and there is enough albeit subtle foreshadowing to form a coherent tale supporting them. The open ended conclusion is a welcome hint for a supposed sequel, even if the main course works as a self contained detective thrill.

I nominate Chris Pratt and Shannon Woodward for the major roles.

Yahtzee also got better at narrating.

Ralph Lister breathed so much life into this book even though it was epic in the first place.
