If you’ve ever wondered what being a chef is like or concerned with the day to day life, Chef here does an amazing job. A unique mind for an incredibly unique lifestyle. Often times hilarious and sad in the same sentence. He’s excellent in the details but sometimes the different terms and seamless transitions between languages can a little hard to follow. I’d highly recommend for anyone who had an interest in Anthony Bourdain before his death. If you didn’t know who he was before his death, this book will give you insight to everything above but also a glimpse of the passion and true desire he had to be a chef and inspire people’s lives with food, humor and his cuisine.

I’d recommend if you have any sort of curiosity about science or if you’ve got a younger person who’s interested in science. Great stuff here!

Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

I have to say, I wasn't completely sure what I was getting into with this. Neil Gaiman not only wrote an excellent book but his narration takes it too the next level. He has different voices and tones for each character that allows you to connect with the characters and figures beyond the pages. Really well done and I thoroughly enjoyed what I think is a history lesson but could also be a wonderful work of fiction. Great stuff here!

As someone who has as much medical "training" as "House" or "Bones" can give you, this series was easy to follow and understand. The big and often confusing medical lingo is explained and put into context so it's easy to follow and understand each step the doctor went through. It doesn't just focus on the doctor's perspective. It also offers insights a patient by providing thought process, questions to ask and basic knowledge to help discover when you might need to seek medical help. This is a great court and I'd recommend to anyone who has an interest into the medical field and common practices all physicians use.

I do not have a medical degree nor do I like or enjoy science but this series of lectures was amazing. Professor Craig loaded these 24 lectures with information and knowledge. It's an interesting insight into a field that still has a lot of unknowns. It also delves into the importance and lack of attention sleep gets in the scientific field. If you're looking for a unique and knowledgable viewpoint on sleep and everything that comes with it, do yourself a favor and purchase these lectures. I'll be listening all the way through to make sure I didn't miss too much! Wonderful series by TGC!
