At the age of 22, Jennifer Worth left her comfortable home to move into a convent and become a midwife in postwar London’s East End slums. The colorful characters she met while delivering babies all over London - from the plucky, warm-hearted nuns with whom she lived to the woman with 24 children who couldn't speak English to the prostitutes and dockers of the city’s seedier side - illuminate a fascinating time in history.

I absolutely loved Call the Midwife by Jennifer Worth. It’s the memoirs the tv show is based on. It’s really interesting because Worth described the case studies in such vivid detail down to her own biases and how she learned from them, the smells and sights of the environments she worked in, how the culture of the time affected patient care both positively and negatively, the tests used & how/why they were performed, and the ways in which pre/postnatal care & child birth has changed and how it’s stayed the same in the last century. It’s captivating, fascinating and so well written.
Nicola Barber's narration was phenomenal. The vocal ranges and accents that Barber uses makes it feel as if it's a full cast recording. She brings these sometimes uplifting, sometimes heartbreaking cases to life. I look forward to the next 2 books in this series.

I love this series so much! Please start at the beginning of the series, Keystone, it’s much better that way!
I loved getting more Shephard, he is a great character and we got to really see the soft side and a glimpse of the man he was before Maggie, his love died while pregnant with their son. I loved the ups and downs of Raven and Christian’s relationship. I adore them! I loved the way the Keystone team worked on restoring order when there is a blackout and lives are at stake. The way the story goes from 1st to 3rd party POV gives you the intimacy of Raven’s stream of consciousness while still seeing what the other characters are doing and thinking as well, even when Raven doesn’t.
As always, Nicole Pool’s narration is flawless. She has such a fantastic range, you sometimes forget it’s not a full cast recording! She is brilliant.

I love this book so much. I have listened to it 4 times and I will continue to relisten to it. It is full of action, sorrow, humor, love and general badassery! I love the strengthening of the family until of Kate, Curran and Julie, there are some beautiful moments between Kate and Julie and Curran and Julie. Julie is really coming into her own. While Curran and Kate are no longer the Beast Lord and Consort, but George, Derrick, Barabbas and Christopher make up their own pack and I love their little family.
As always, Renee Raudman's narration is absolutely amazing. I love her performance!

If you're familiar with the Kate Daniels novels (if you aren't, they are absolutely incredible) you may expect a somewhat similar story, I did. However this read like an epic fantasy story so much that I had to keep reminding myself it's set in the future, not the past!
I never thought I would fall in love with Hugh D’Ambray, but I have. This is his redemption story. It's absolutely fascinating to hear some of the events from the Kate Daniels series from his point of view. Elara, Hugh's wife is a fantastic character. She's strong, protective and won't take sh*t from anyone! The relationship between Hugh and Elara is beautifully written. They each have something the other needs and have to learn to trust each other, which neither gives freely. I cannot wait for the final Kate Daniels book to come out as their stories will once again intersect, and then for the next Iron Covenant book after that!
Steve West preformed the book flawlessly. I would love to hear him read...anything! He is truly a brilliant narrator, and I plan on seeking out more books read by him.
This book is very much worth the credit. I know I will listen to this book multiple times.

Ilona Andrews do it again! I just finished this book for the 3rd time (twice in less than a year). This series has action, comedy, suspense and the baddest of badasses as its heroine. Kate was always told that family and friends were a liability that made her selfish and week. She lived by that until first Derek, a young werewolf, to whom she is his only chance of survival becomes like a little brother to her. Now a 13 year old orphan, Julie, to whom Kate feels responsible for becomes her kid, and steals her heart. Ok I know that's very sappy, don't worry, this is Kate Daniels! When a God and his minions set their sights on Julie she allies with Curran, the Beast Lord of Atlanta, and the Pack who like Kate refuses to allow anyone hurt an innocent child. Blood. Will. Spill.
As always Renée Raudman brings Kate and company alive. She is an incredibly talented narrator and she and Ilona Andrews are always a one click for me!

Michelle Rabe is a brilliant author, I loved this story of persistence, love, heartbreak and a kickass heroine! There's action, danger, intrigue, true love and DRAGONS! Serena and Killian's relationship is not easy. Between nefarious people, honor and duty, and royal abuse of power the odds are stacked against them. The fight to be together is epic.
Serena is a lieutenant in the King's guard, and thus made me love this book even more. I adore strong female characters and Serena is fierce, brave, loyal, honest and kind.
The world building is fantastic, the characters are brilliant and did I mention dragons?!
This is absolutely worth a credit!

When romance novelist Kate Smith suddenly gets writer's block as she's beginning the final installment of her international best-selling erotic Bed 'n Breakfast series, she'll do pretty much anything to get her groove back. Like sneak into a Tire Depot waiting room because her words flow there just like complimentary coffee - smooth, sweet, and scorchingly hot. She manages to fly under the radar until the rugged and charming mechanic, Miles Hudson, notices the quirky redhead slinking in and out of the employees-only entrance. But she's way too intriguing to blow the whistle on.
