Former movie star Jenna Hughes left Hollywood for an isolated farm in Oregon to get away from fame. But someone has followed her-an obsessed fan whose letters are personal and deeply disturbing. While Jenna’s already shaken up by what she’s seen on paper, she’d be terrified if she knew what Sheriff Shane Carter is investigating. It’s a shocking case that started with the discovery of a dead woman in the woods.

Oky, this is a slow beginning, but finally moves to be pretty good. At 18 hours, it is a commitment you need to think about. The epilogue takes you to the next one. Not sure I am ready for another 18 hours. Probably could have been a 6 hour book.

So you may ask, who is Adam Connor? He is the recently divorced, Academy Award-winning actor who just moved in next door with his kid. He also happens to be an exquisite male specimen and the most infuriating sly bastard I've ever come across. While I was being thoughtful by not breaking and entering, and was actually considering going over to offer him a shoulder to cry on (you know, because of his divorce), instead he had me thrown in jail after a small incident. Jail, people!

This story was okay, but it just took way too long to get to the end. It went around in circles and retold things way too many times. Probably could have been two book, but she would have to come up with more material to make it two. You don;t have to tell me something ten times before I get it.

Some say love can be an addiction. Others say it's the thing that makes life worth living. Let me tell you everything I know about love...Love isn't patient, love isn't kind. Love is a game, a chase. A thrill. Love is wild and war-like, and every man and woman must fight for themselves. At least that's how it was for me. A high-priced virgin call girl by the time I started college, I was addicted to love and to sex. Even though I've never had either. I controlled love, played it, and held the world in the palm of my hands.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I do not know

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I like Lauren Blakely as an author and have listened to many of her books. This one just left me cold. I did not even finish it. There was no story and I felt it was not worth my time.

Any additional comments?

Too bad Lauren had to take this turn, it was not a compliment to her writing.

Would you try another book from Helena Hunting and/or Nathan Everett and Muffy Newtown ?

I will listen to some more of the series, but not going to be interested in any others narrated by Nathan Everett. A Very Weak mal voice. Males in these types of series need to be masculine, not wimps.

What three words best describe Nathan Everett and Muffy Newtown ’s voice?

Muffy;s male better than Nathan

Did Pucked inspire you to do anything?

Nope
