Cold Moon over Babylon
- Valancourt 20th Century Classics
- By: Michael McDowell
- Narrated by: Scott Brick
- Length: 9 hrs and 41 mins
Welcome to Babylon, a typical sleepy Alabama small town, where years earlier the Larkin family suffered a terrible tragedy. Now they are about to endure another: 14-year-old Margaret Larkin will be robbed of her innocence and her life by a killer who is beyond the reach of the law. But something strange is happening in Babylon: traffic lights flash an eerie blue, a ghostly hand slithers from the drain of a kitchen sink, graves erupt from the local cemetery in an implacable march of terror.

I thought based on reviews that this was going to be a great listen and it was good but lost steam towards the end. subsequently, lost interest about 3/4 in and just left the book going as background noise. The performance was fantastic, the change in voices was not jarring or irritating, i really enjoyed the reader. I could see how this would be a great movie but as a listen it just lost me, needed more of mystery.
