In Raising Trump, Ivana Trump reflects on her extraordinary life and the raising of her three children - Donald Jr., Eric, and Ivanka - and recounts the lessons she taught her children as they were growing up. As her former husband takes his place as the 45th president of the United States, his children have also been thrust into the media spotlight - but it is Ivana who raised them and proudly instilled in them what she believes to be the most important life lessons: loyalty, honesty, integrity, and drive.

Fun hearing about Ivana’s personal parenting style and all the behind the scenes info. I thought I would hate the audio version because Ivana didn’t narrate it herself but they found a good narrator to make the audience hear it in as close to an Ivana fluid understandable voice as possible. Recommend.

In December 2016, the world was shaken by the sudden deaths of Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds, two unspeakable losses. The stunned public turned for solace to Debbie’s only remaining child, Todd Fisher. The son of "America’s Sweethearts" Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, Todd grew up amid the glamorous wealth and pretense of Hollywood. Thanks to his mother, Todd remained down to earth, his own man, but always close to his cherished mom, and to his sister through her meteoric rise to stardom and her struggle with demons that never diminished her humor, talent, or spirit.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and Todd Fishers account of his life. What a character! I did almost make it a game counting the number of times he used the word “incredulous”. Let’s just say he spent a lot of his life being incredulous! ;-) Great work Todd! You were a great, loyal and level headed son and brother and I am sure you will miss your mother and sister for the rest of your life.

I wasn't crazy about this book even though I wanted to read it. The storytelling is choppy and I did not like the audible book reader. I would have preferred Caitlyn Jenner make an attempt to read it herself regardless of the issues she cited as why she did not. That made the book seem inauthentic. I get why the Kardashians have problems with Bruce / Caitlyn but I honestly would tell Kris Jenner to get over it. Who cares? I don't know who could trust Caitlyn Jenner since she obviously has a hard time being truthful now as she did when she was Bruce. Listen or read it but the story is easy to put down and walk away from so a bit challenging to stick with especially since we all know the outcome.

In My Happy Days in Hollywood, Marshall takes us on a journey from his stickball-playing days in the Bronx to his time at the helm of some of the most popular television series and movies of all time, sharing the joys and challenges of working with the Fonz and the young Julia Roberts, the “street performer” Robin Williams, and the young Anne Hathaway, among many others.

Though Anderson Cooper has always considered himself close to his mother, his intensely busy career as a journalist for CNN and CBS affords him little time to spend with her. After she suffers a brief but serious illness at the age of ninety-one, they resolve to change their relationship by beginning a yearlong conversation unlike any they have ever had before. The result is a correspondence of surprising honesty and depth in which they discuss their lives, the things that matter to them, and what they still want to learn about each other.

Frank McCourt shares his sometimes heartwarming, sometimes heartbreaking story of growing up poor, Irish, and Catholic in the Pulitzer Prize-winning memoir Angela's Ashes.
