What a great new series in the same vein as Pendergast. I was hooked from the beginning when the novel tied to past Pendergast characters. The pacing of the plot and narration embellish the suspense of storytelling. Moreover, The female narrator adds to the story as the voice of Cory Swanson. The ending left me craving more from the authors. Well done, gentlemen.

The characters in this series are so interesting. The author mixes humor and mystery in a perfectly timed delivery. Davis Way exhibits a fully dimensional heroine. Her humorous comments allow the listener to enjoy the events. The narrator perfectly distinguished the voices of each character. I did not listen to the books in order, but nothing was lost. My only regret that at this time remains that I do not have another Davis Way adventure to enjoy.

This book’s plot is exciting. Man’s desire to speak with animals makes this so interesting. Characters are well developed and likable. The quick sequences will keep the reader hooked. I can hardly wait to read the sequel.

Kensy, a very astute female detective, solves the mysteries of Santa Theresa. The plot holds our attention to the very end. The narrator is fantastic. She is the person one wished lived next door. Her voice is soothing and refreshing. Sue Grafting has another great book to her credit. I recommend this for its intriguing plot and California setting.
Overall this is a great story to enjoy.

Nothing is more fun than a Janet Evanovich mystery. The characters are delightful and hilarious. What a delightful escape from the world. I loved every moment and was sad when it ended.

This was quite an enjoyable listen. The plot is good and keeps the listener at the edge of their seat. I hated to hear it end.

Really enjoyed the mystery and historical details about the railroad. Great reader with believable voice. This is a good way to teach history. Really like the architecture facts and description. I hated. For the book to end.
