There is a serial killer on the loose preying on vulnerable women. The only identifiable mark the killer leaves are letters - sometimes one, sometimes two - all carved into the torsos of his victims. Together, they spell “Sydney”. When he grabs Daisy Dawson, he believes he has found his next victim. But despite her small stature, she fights back with an expertise that quickly frees her. Before fleeing the scene, Daisy also manages to grab what proves to be crucial evidence: a necklace from around the killer’s neck.

Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. All characters helped the story along even the most annoying one. Great scenes that will make you laugh out loud & tell a character to shut the front door!

I truly hope this will be the beginning of a great series. I look forward to getting to know Alice better. I enjoyed the author's writing style & appreciate the time she took to finish the ending well vs a rush job.

The narrator was on point as always. Ms. Gilbert is dynamic & voices for this story were great!

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this new book by Kendra Elliott. It is worth more than the download price.

The book has a promise of becoming a series. Merci (y) Kilpatrick is an FBI agent who was raised as a end of world as we know it prepper. She's assigned to a series of murders in her hometown; a place she has not returned to or the family that shunned her in over fifteen years.

I thoroughly enjoyed the sister Rose due to her can do attitude on life despite being blind since birth. I further appreciated the author cluing readers into the technology that is available to help the visually impaired become more independent and what their world is about.

I anticipate the next novel in this series will be just as enjoyable. Will Merci(y) be able to handle her teenage niece, will the office she's transferring to keep her interest in law enforcement, what will become of her love life & will her and her father ever heal their relationship?

I throughly enjoyed this book. The author has hit it out the ball park. The bipolar FBI agent is off the hook! I loved her thoughts. I laughed out loud so many times.

There is a tremendous amount of characters and the narrator did them all well. I commend her because she performed them all well.

The mental health issue is nicely done and is not a character of its own.

Overall, the book is well written and well narrated.

The story is about a lawyer who is struggling in her own practice. Her best friend from childhood is her admin staff and a former client that's a hacker is her investigator.

They all have issues but support each other. However, the attorney needs to be bathed, soaked, & dunked in holy water.

Good listen & well worth the money!

Performance was good. However, you have to throw everything you know about police procedure out the window of reason to listen to this book. I only kept listening so I could say, "Nope, wrong."

The female lead Josey took some criminal justice classes to be a better true crime writer and that is her pass to partner up w/the officer. The officer broke so many procedures and laws it became insulting that the author wanted you to give a pass to the nonsense.

Book is 2nd in series and hopefully the last but if not I will listen to the next book just to play the "Nope, wrong" game again.

I am so glad I have finished listening to this book. Several times I considered going to the last chapter just to make it end. The narrator choose the most annoying whiney voice for the main female character. Her attempt at a North Carolina country girl's accent was horrific.

The female villain was nuts but story doesn't really delve into what drove her there. Some back story would have been good b/c the bow on the ending was a damn far fetch. At least she could have decapitated Barbies as a child or kicked cats. Something that made her craziness believable.

This is not the worse purchase I ever made from Audible but it is #3. I have been a member since 2011. So, take this review w/a grain of salt & a pitcher of margaritas your going to need it.
