Only the best writing, a love that burns like fire, and the threat of a tidal wave snuffing it out too soon. There is action, mystery, lust, love, heartbreak, a heroine, and a sprinkle of magic in this fantastical story. The narration is lovely, the plot engrossing, and don't be afraid of the heart breaking moments, because Fox won't fail you. As good as the rest, if you enjoy any of Harper's other reads, you need this one too!

You will be in awe of the Klune’s ability to capture and communicate the human condition. This is not your traditional romance, and if you’re looking for erotica, look elsewhere. There are sexual scenes described of a highly intimate and loving nature, but that is not what this book is about. This book is about the struggles, and devastation that a loving relationship comes crashing up against. Olive Juice is about pain, loss, and love. You will be moved, you will maybe cry, you will be in awe and you will stand and applaud. Don’t read spoilers, don’t ask for a bigger explanation, just dive right in. I wish I could write more but I want listeners to walk into this book blind.
The narration is perfect and powerful, Derrick McClain impresses me so much I find myself browsing his project list and grabbing books just because he’s narrated them.

Bad, choppy dialogue. Plot, ?, jumps around constantly, sexual encounters are crude and rudimnetally written. It feels like this was written by a snarky 16 year old girl in need of an English tutor. I know the genre is not in any way serious reading, but this had NO meat whatsoever. The narrator tried enthusiastically but missed the mark. Probably a difficult job given the material she had to work with.

Hypocritical and morally wrong...what is happening now is not normal, it is not fake news, it is not okay. Do what is right for your county, regardless of political views. Forest fires while creating devestating damage, allow for new growth. The young people now who are fighting for their voices to be heard through the devastation of the Trump forest fire will become the new growth who will fight to pursue ethical leadership. While I think some of the difficult descisions he made helped win the election of this monster, I believe Comey wants what is best for the country. While I'm overwhelmingly disappointed in the DNC for not listening to my generation, and irritated at the Reps for letting this slimeball rise to the top of their "conservative, moral party" this book gave me some hope in our country and the future of our leadership. Comey's words offer a view of his attempt at serving justice in a tumultuous sea of political bias, party gang warfare and a presidential mob boss mentality. A Higher Loyalty gives me hope with a healthy dash of skepticism. Well read, intellectual storytelling but at a common level. I did laugh, shake my head and nearly cry for my country at times.

This was an excellently written BDSM story with an interesting twist. Instead of all the trite hot young twink subs, we're provided a fine mature man of 50 filling the submissive role. The introduction is a tear jerker for sure. But as we read on and get to know both partners, a true romance, not just a kinkfest, develops. Not to say there isn't plenty of kink. We get a bit of restraint, a little pain, precision tools, and some deprivation, but it's all well written, and flows with mutual chemistry. The support characters are a joy to read and had me smiling the whole time I listened, and that's saying something because I was raking leaves. I'm sure my family had to wonder what the hell was going on.
Only one little thing stuck in my craw, the narrators voice for Jarod made him sound like he's an 80 year old geezer more often than not. My hubby is 54, and I can tell you he's no geezer, and his voice is not strained. That is the only reason I rated the narration like that. Joel does well with the narration everywhere else. Once I got beyond that I could appreciate how each character had their own distinctive voice. My favorite character in this story was actually Maggy, Jarod's mother. Not only did the narrator make her sound just like the Dowager Countess of Downton Abbey, she's just as wild and kinky as her son! Made me laugh out loud.
If you like some bondage with your boyfriends, and you're agreement with me that with age comes refinement and richness, then you'll love this story. I did not read the previous books, and though they are all tied together, this read fine as a stand alone. Dom of Ages was a pleasure to listen to, Wells and Williams make a great team, and I know I look forward to giving the rest of the series a try!

I always enjoy big hot studs, and their trainers too. This book is full of cotton candy sweet romance. It's fun to see Luke's adventure into learning to gain a broken horses trust, and handle what other's had deemed a dangerous horse to the point of riding him. Learning to handle his owner could be just as trying. There is a smidge of angst here, dealing with a lost love, a dead mother, and two souls daring to love, but it's mild. As far as the steamy scenes, it's very slow, and very timid, and oh so sweet. I actually think, though I feel SO very wrong for saying it, that the hottest scene was actually near the beginning, where Luke's imagination gets away with him when King is performing his stud service, and his new boss Clay is nearby. It's totally weird, strange, but oddly hot. Not quite sure why, but that scene stuck with me. I imagined Lay riding Luke in the arena after that, but alas, this is not a kinky story. This is a slow build to a sweet romance, of the untried virgin variety, but knowing that, if you're looking for a sweet love story then that's what Tachna delivers, beautifully narrated, with plenty of interesting characters.
