A bet. Yes, I made a bet with my best friend - my now ex-best friend. It had been a stupid, heat-of-the-moment kind of thing. I'd just wanted to get her out of my system and move on. Instead I've lived to regret it ever since. I lost the girl I loved, a girl who possessed my very soul. Now I can't even get close to Natalie. She thinks all she ever meant to me was just the means to the end of a stupid, stupid game. For a bet!

i’ve enjoyed the series to date...great characters & the way all the characters play a part in each book so u get to know them is great... down side...the “fall head over heals within days/weeks and getting pregnant almost immediately for all of them” was a bit unrealistic and took away from my overall enjoyment... but still enjoyed the series having said that...I typically like this author

So yeah, my dad is a rock star; he's the drummer for OtherWorld. And Lucy was and always will be the only girl to ever know the real me. She was my best friend, my voice of reason. My sanity. Maybe she outgrew me. But I will never outgrow her. It's been years since I've seen her, and I miss her so damn bad. All I want is a chance to get back what we've lost, to have my best friend in my life again. I wasn't counting on how grown-up my friend might have gotten, how beautiful she is now.

We have a history. His childhood was full of darkness and all I have ever wanted was to give him the light. Now he puts that darkness into his music, and protecting the girl who has always worshiped him. But time changes people. It has changed me. I'm no longer the little caterpillar he has always called me. I know he needs me - I need him too. Now I have to make a choice.... Stay and pretend like he hasn't eviscerated my heart. Or let go of him completely.

I had a simple life. I worked two jobs, made ends meet, and hung out with my mom and twin brother. The other part of my life was about avoiding him, but when SWAT raided my boyfriend's home, that was the last straw. The boyfriend got tossed, and to help me keep busy, my brother talked me into joining their old band again. I have to be honest, though; it wasn't a hard sell.

At fifteen I fell in love. His name was Jake Stephens and he took the abandoned, lonely girl I had been and made me whole. His love was a pure and unconditional love that made every day better than the last; a fairy tale of my very own. But this story isn't about Jake. It's about Abel Madden; the man I meet after the fairy tale goes to hell. A cocky, arrogant man who says what he wants, does as he pleases, and makes no excuses for it. He irritates me--downright pisses me off at times--but he also brings me back to life.

It was an innocent mistake...All workaholic real estate broker Addison Andrews wanted was one night of pleasure, and picking the right guy was no different than shopping from a catalog, thanks to the dating app on her phone. His name was Wilder, and his profile was blank - just a sexy picture of a man who promised every wicked intention of a one-night stand. The agreement was simple. One night. No last names.

liked other things from this author but this was just so far fetched it wasn’t even remotely enjoyable from the “instant” falling in love to the point it interrupted their lives when they knew each other less than 6 months to the issues with the parents...disappointed... might have been somewhat believable as a preteen romance IFFFFF the characters where not GROWN ADULTS

A piece of paper destroyed me. It was one day...one moment...one letter. One lie. That's all it took to change the course of my life. Now he's back. And he thinks I'm the one who broke him. Someone is lying. And it's not me. But it's not him either. We need to learn to trust again. Sometimes, however, I think trust should be considered a four-letter word. Note to listeners: This book is a stand-alone novel.

I named myself. I took the word animal out of their mouths, wore it like a badge of honor, then shoved it down their throats. I've fought for what I have. I see you coming before you even know you want a piece of me. In a city riddled with warring families, I'll rise up between them. My people, the broken souls I gather, will have power by the time I'm done with them.

I won my first fight when I was 11 years old, and I've been throwing punches ever since. Fighting is the purest, truest, most elemental thing there is. Some people describe heaven as a sea of unending white, where choirs sing and loved ones await. But for me, heaven was something else. It sounded like the bell at the beginning of a round, and it tasted like adrenaline. For me, heaven was the octagon. Until I met Millie, and heaven became something different. I became something different.
