Several years back, Keir ran from a relationship that he was ashamed to make public. That mistake left him unfulfilled and alone. On his first Christmas trip home since leaving, he is forced to face his ex lover Douglas and his roommate Mac. He realizes the consequences of his leaving and the mistake he may never get a chance to rectify.

Isobel Sterling does a grand job at conveying emotions and keeping the settings and conversation real. I found it a little sappy and predictable, but entertaining. She adds a surprise twist with little angst. I had it figured out pretty much from the start, but not everyone will.
Gary Furlong is awesome. I have heard many of his narratives and he never disappoints.

When she told me Sons of Anarchy was her favorite show, I knew I was in trouble. When she said I'm what Jax would look like if he didn't die, I knew I was screwed. I was her fantasy man, all grown up. But I'm no pretty boy acting in a show. This is real life sweetheart. It's ugly. It's raw.

IMHO, UNSCRIPTED was better than the first book, DUKE. I really felt a connection with the characters and I liked the fact that Roger was an older man. Not everyone is under 30 years old. His misgivings were acceptable and the romance moved at a believable pace, without the annoying insta-love.

Rodney Falcon did an excellent job with this one. Cannot wait for book three!

I really have NOT like Duchess so I was pleased with her story. She harbored the most guilt about her past relationship with her soul-mate and it almost ruined the entire solidarity of the group and their mission. When she met Chan she was impressed with him as a human but finding out he was her soul-mate changed everything. He was the last person she wanted to encounter and did all she could to deny opening up to him. But as soul-mates, they were fated to unite.
There is a lot of focus on the group and members so I advise reading the books from the beginning. The battle they wage has developed a lot of depth, and vague predictions are steadily becoming clearer as the six Vampires reunite with their destined partners. It is a well thought out story and worth the journey. I cannot wait for book 6.

Gwendolyn Druyor is an excellent voice artist and has carried characters through this series very well.

After leaving behind his family drama and serving in the Marines for a couple decades, Duke returns home for a funeral, stopping in a local MC bar. He finds Shanna bartending and even though she is maybe 11 years or so younger, he falls hard. And age is not the only problem. His father and her father broke their friendship over a woman years ago. Like Hillbilly family dynamics. And Shanna wants absolutely nothing to do with the MC she was raised in. She is loved by all the members but she just wants out and a normal life so when Duke has to reconnect with the club, she wants away from him.
But like most MC Romances, they come together with sparks and heat and an HEA
I hate to say it but the writing seemed weak, but the concept is good; setting up great scenes and interactions you can't guess.

Narration tone was good. I love Rodney’s voice and he read Duke with good interpretation and feeling. I was disappointed with his voice for Shanna because it held no emotions and felt flat. But good enough to not deter from the book.

It was over. Depressed and angry, she decided to venture directly into an oncoming snowstorm, one that would be known as the blizzard of the century. Joan expected to spend a week trying to mend a failing marriage but was confronted with betrayal and adultery. In blind shock she headed up the mountain to just get away, unaware of an impending blizzard. In her despair she stumbled down a steep drop-off and sprained her ankle leaving her stranded as the snow thickened. Steven was called out to find her but the storm made it so difficult that his ATV lost grip and slid off the edge as he jumped off just in time. But he was close enough to find Joan. They found refuge for a night in a cabin but an avalanche caused them to make the treacherous walk back. Steven had one day to see the courage and strength in Joan and not understanding why, he fell for her. Joan had other things on her mind so it wasn’t until they were safe that she took a good long look at her hero.
In this quick listen there were a few inconsistencies that bothered me. Joan said she had a cat and Steven later said she was going home to her dog. And about the cat.. or dog... there’s no mention of it’s fate. Another thing, the cabin was originally 5 minutes from the resort but when they left it was miles away. And if an ankle is swollen three times it’s size, how does one walk miles in thigh-high snow? As far as “heat” in the story, there isn’t any, other than a couple kisses and implications. The story spans over three months with two deaths so it’s understandable that a two and a half hour audible lacked complete substance.

But Charley Fae did an excellent job, even with the male voices, bringing the storyline to life. It was sweet and it was quick. Not a disappointment but it didn’t rock my world.
It’s okay. 👌🏻

Very entertaining short, hot, erotic listen. Here we have two people who are perfect for one another meet in the one place neither would normally go. It’s when best friend’s talk their besties into doing something they would normally not do... and geez... it totally works out. A 30 year old virgin talked into going to a sex club’s “Virgin Night” and a man betrayed by a cheating whore of a woman is talked into accompanying his friend to the “Virgin Night” at his club. Uh, yes. They find each other. And they, ahem, “work” well.

Although Aurora did a good job with inflections and pace of the dialog, I didn’t care for her voice for this type of read.

It’s unfortunate that I haven’t listened to all the previous books but I do own the first two so I had the beginning background. It’s important that you know something about the Bracadytes and the reason the government is trying to find them, or rather, hunt them down. Gryke is full of complex emotions because he is half human but embraces only his Bracadyte side. He hates humans but has to come to grips with his prejudices when he finds himself falling for the human woman Fiona. Thinking she’s a betrayer with no loyalty he soon finds the truth, that her loyalty very is strong, just not in what he thought it was toward.
The story felt a little rushed but it could be that I was just missing information from previous books. Again, it’s best to read from book one, Enigma.

Johnny Mack is a great narrator and killed this one as well. Kudos, Johnny!
