I am not alive but bring to life-
Love, laughter, beauty, and strife-
Though I don't speak I never fail-
To captivate you with a tale

It's no riddle that I absolutely loved everything about this fun, sexy, and poignant forbidden romance! Ms Blakely has created a beautiful love story that seduced my senses, challenged my imagination, and captivated my heart! Leo, Lulu, and Tripp were best friends since they met in culinary school. Leo fell hard at first sight for the vibrant, funny, and daring Lulu. Unfortunately his best friend, Tripp asked her out first, and they eventually married. Leo has spent a decade trying to get over loving his best friends woman. In present time, after years apart, and Tripp out of the picture, Leo and Lulu meet again over their shared love of chocolate. They easily fall back into the rapid fire repartee they always shared, only now there's a little flirting too. They strike up a business partnership, bringing them close together again. This causes Leo's old feelings to the surface, but allows Lulu to see Leo in a whole new way. This beautiful story of forbidden love, and new beginnings is told sinuously in flashback sequence. It cleverly reveals their history, how they are growing closer, and the conflicting emotions of affirming their budding feelings. Leo and Lulu are so perfect together, they are both driven, love chocolate, challenges, and laughter. Their explosive chemistry is palpable, leaping right off the page. Blakely always finds new, clever, and interesting ways to bring her couples together. I loved the scavenger hunt they were competed in, the fascinating riddles, and the adventures that allow us to explore New York right along with them. I was so moved with the way she also weaved in a very sensitive topic with honesty and empathy. Her secondary characters are intriguing, and add more fun to this story. I am a huge fan of the grand gesture and totally loved the ending!
Blakely gave us a wonderful story written with twelve amazing narrators in mind. Andi Arndt, Sebastian York, January Lavoy, Julia Whelan, R.C. Bray, Shane East, Joe Arden, Erin Mallon, Dion Graham, Savannah Peachwood, Jason Clarke, and Robin Miles nailed their characters, making us feel all their emotions and bringing them to life so beautifully. This story flowed perfectly, and I never had a hard time knowing which character was speaking, because their voices are all so completely different and distinct. I loved this phenomenal audio and would love to listen to more made this way!

Jane Black has written the breakup album of the century, earning her a Grammy, a huge legion of new fans, and the pressure to repeat her success. Sure, the heartbreak from her husband's unconventional abandonment might have been her inspiration, but it hasn't done her any favors in the dating department. So when Matthew Harrigan, the toughest music journalist out there, asks for an interview, Jane agrees - as long as her personal life is completely off-limits. British, gorgeous, and way too tempting, Matthew's the first guy Jane's been attracted to since her husband.

I loved this twist on the forbidden rockstar romance! It is a beautiful story of learning how to trust, healing, and finding true love. Jane is flying high with the success of her latest album. She wrote it after her heartbreaking split from her husband. She has tried to keep her personal life out of the spotlight but there are journalists who have taken advantage of her new found fame. When sexy British journalist Matthew asks to interview her, she is intrigued. He is the first man she has been attracted to since her divorce but she doesn't know if she can trust any journalist. Matthew works hard to convince her of his integrity. It is a challenge since he has always been attracted to her. As they spend time together, they can't deny their attraction and explosive chemistry. But they struggle to keep it professional between them with both their careers on the line. Blakely did a splendid job updating this sweet and sizzling romance. Narrators, Shane East, and Andi Arndt were the perfect choice for Matthew and Jane. They nailed the chemistry between Jane and Matthew, and delivered their sexy banter flawlessly. I was totally lost to East's smooth, rich, voice, and he had me totally swooning as he brought the charming, dreamy, sexy Brit to life. Arndt easily brought the struggling yet spirited Jane to life.
I really enjoyed this sweet, heartfelt, and sexy story!

The “cute boy next door” who’s been helping her with yard work clearly needs a little therapy. Who better to call than her newly single therapist granddaughter? She even fakes dementia to get me to visit, and now that I’m here she’s doing everything in her power to throw us together. Not that I’m complaining. Ryan is the sexiest man I’ve ever met.

I absolutely loved this story! It was funny, sexy, heartbreaking and heartwarming. We met Stella in the first book, where she was defending her safe, and sexless relationship with Buzz (Walter). I knew Stella's story would be awesome and it definitely did not disappoint! Stella was reeling after Walter broke up with her on her birthday. When her Grandmother convinces Stella that she is sick and needs her help, Stella races to be with her. Little did she know that her Gram's had plans for her and the sexy, ex-marine living next door. Ryan is a tortured, wounded warrior who has closed himself off after his tragic tour in Afghanistan. Stella has played it safe her whole life, afraid to break the rules. They both are so much alike, and they are exactly what they both need, to help each other heal. Add in a 90 year old granny, who doesn't have time waste, who is shamelessly meddling in their lives, they never stood a chance! There were so many hilarious moments that made me laugh out loud. The poignant moments were so heartfelt and authentic and added a depth that kept me turning the pages. I was so moved by the way Harlow addressed the heartbreaking struggles of veterans with empathy and honesty. She expertly weaves a story that makes you feel so many emotions and makes you beg for more. This story is the perfect blend of humor, heartbreak, charm, and steam. It had me laughing and crying and everything in between.
Narrators Rock Engle, and Felicity Munroe are superb storytellers! They embodied these characters perfectly, bringing them to life so clearly. Engle's expressive voice was so poignant and exhilarating, he portrayed Ryan's conflicting emotions between broken, solitary soldier to passionate friend and lover who wanted to live again, so convincingly. He really had my heart racing with those many emotions, as well as with the sex scenes that had the perfect tone and balance of heat, excitement, and passion. I also loved his different voices for Max and Grams, they were brilliant! Munroe played the buttoned up Stella beautifully. Her transformation from timid lover to confident and sexy seductress was outstanding. I also loved her voice for Grams, and the way she portrayed her kind, loving, and frisky nature and her clandestine meddling.
This beautiful story is the perfect conclusion to the One and Only series and both narrators added an extra element of excellence to this already outstanding story!

I was completely captivated by Sam and Maggie's forbidden love story right from their very first hilarious and awkward meet cute. Maggie is on the road to win back her college sweetheart after he broke up with her because she is too basic. She has played it safe her whole life, not taking change well. Now she is breaking all her rules trying new and crazy things. Sam is instantly attracted to her innocent idealism and offers to help her win back her ex. Sam doesn't like commitment, but this smart, sweet, and hilarious woman is electrifying his life, and making him break all his rules as well. The more this sweet and sexy Sam helps her, the more she realizes she may want what is right in front of her. No matter how hard they fight their attraction, they have too much fun together, and their chemistry is too explosive to stay away. I loved all the fun experiences they had together. I really enjoyed watching Maggie discover herself as she brings out Sam's sexy, inner cave man. It was also a lot of fun catching up with Kate and Miles, who I absolutely loved from the first book.
This romance was brought to life with the stellar performances by narrators Erin Mallon, and Teddy Hamilton! They captured Sam and Maggie so beautifully from the slightest nuances, hitting all the perfect emotional notes and delivering Daws witty banter flawlessly. Mallon's voice changes are exquisitely distinct and dynamic, drawing me effortlessly into each scene. She really brings out the awe and wonder Maggie feels with all her new adventures, and her struggles from staying true to her plans or embracing what is in front of her. Hamilton brought out the evolution of Sam from rugged loner to a protective, impassioned lover, embracing Maggie and all her crazy dreams. He had my heart racing with his revelations that Maggie adding spark back into his life, and his fervent fight for her love.
Ms Daws created another refreshing, hilarious & heartfelt story with fascinating characters, witty banter, and steamy passion and Mallon & Hamilton's performance made it even better! I love this series so much and can't wait for more from these sexy men at Tire Depot!

I really fell hard for this funny, sweet and heartwarming romance. Charlie has been through so much in her that has made her a warrior. She changes her heartbreak into something that helps others. To make her business more successful, she takes classes at the local college. This is where she meets Reed, the sexy Brit who makes her believe in love again. Reed wants Charlie from the moment he sees her. He is so sweet and patient with her, allowing her to slowly let down her guard for him. They have so much fun together and their growing feelings and attraction, make their sizzling chemistry explode. I also liked all their friends and family who added more fun and warmth to this story. I was a little frustrated with the drama towards the end but really loved it as a whole.
This story was made even better by Sarah Puckett, and Steve Campbell's beautiful narration. They made each character come alive, allowing me to feel all their fun, fear, anticipation, anxiety, and love. I always enjoy Pucketts' work, but this is my first listen to Campbell. I really loved his performance and will check out more of his work.

I really enjoyed this second book in Foster's, 'The Whiskey's' series! I had been looking forward to Bear's story since I met him in the first book, Tru Blue, and he was everything, and so much more! Bear has been more than patient for the last 8 months, waiting for Crystal to finally admit to her feelings for him. He is done waiting and is ready to prove that they are meant to be together. Crystal has a painful past that makes her avoid relationships. But the sexy, bossy, possessive Bear, doesn't scare her. She sees how kind, protective, and loyal he is and that helps her to overcome her past, and become the strong, independent woman she always wanted to be. As they grow closer, Bear also wants to move forward with his dreams, beyond working in the family business. Bear is the perfect alpha, swoony, book boyfriend. He was so patient with Crystal, putting her needs first, supporting her thru all her brokeness. I was a bit frustrated with her at first, but the more I got to know her, the more I could understand her actions. This emotional, and steamy romance was made even better by the rich, deep voice of narrator, Paul Woodson. He did a great job bringing out the complex emotions Bear and Crystal struggled with. I especially loved his characterization and voice for little Kennedy, he really put a smile on my face when I heard those parts.
This family saga has really captured my heart, and I can't wait for more from the Whiskey's!

I loved this emotional, and sexy forbidden romance! It has a little of everything that I look for, wonderful characters, moving story line, great banter, and steamy passion! Megan and Becker have a tantalizing meet cute behind the bar that Becker owns. They have an instant connection and chemistry. They act on that chemistry with a night of explosive passion. They didn't open up completely about who they were, since Megan was only in town for a short time. Unfortunately, a repeat night is out of the question, when they discovered the next day, that each is a hard limit they both try to avoid. For Becker, he avoids relationships, especially with the sister of his friend and colleague. Megan avoids relationships with firemen because of the tragic loss of her firefighter father, and seeing how devastated her mom was afterward. But Megan and Becker can't avoid their magnetic pull, no matter how hard they try and fight it. I really liked Megan and Becker as they helped each other break down their walls and open their hearts. Megan was strong and independent while Becker was so sweet and swoony. Ms. Blakely weaved a beautiful and seductive love story with genuine characters, witty banter and explosive chemistry. It didn't have over the top angst, or drama, but still had the emotional ardor that I love. I really loved Erin Mallon, and Joe Arden together. Their voices really complimented each other and they were each absolutely perfect for Megan and Becker. Their comedic timing and heartfelt performances were amazing and they made this romance even better.

This sixth book in the One to Hold series was exhilarating, emotional, and sexy. This is the first book in this series that I've read, and it was written so that I could enjoy it completely. Altho I am so intrigued by all the characters and want to start at the beginning, especially to find out more about Derek and Melissa! In this book Derek, who is the ultimate protective alpha, has fought hard for the love of his life, Melissa. They are so good together and are madly in love. But Derek has some secrets that could tear them apart and he will do what it takes to be the man Melissa deserves. Melissa is a strong, resilient woman and she is done with being kept in the dark. I really liked both Derek and Melissa. They had endured so much, and felt such guilt, yet they were finding the strength to build a new life. Their chemistry was off the charts and their passion was explosive. There are some great secondary characters who added so much charm to this story as well. This is a fast paced, suspenseful journey that is breathtaking, and sexy. What makes this story even more enjoyable is the wonderful narration by Lucy Rivers, and Christian Fox. They smoothly amplified each character, as secrets were revealed, making them even more intriguing. I was totally lost in this world as they made me feel all the doubt, fear, heartache, joy, and passion of this story.
