He’s the most notorious rake in London.... Though he uses the reputation to his advantage, the exotic Duke of Evesham is misunderstood and mysterious. He sidles around societal rules, especially when it comes to pursuing a wife. Though when he sets his sights on Lady Georgiana, the rules find a way of bending on their own accord. Meanwhile, the consummate bluestocking is in London for one thing - to find a financier for her late husband’s fire engine. And after six years away from the ton, Georgiana realizes social codes of conduct are different for widows....

Thank you

I really enjoy Kaylea Cross’ books but wish this reader would use more inflection in voice. When he is reading dialogue it is much better but when he sets up a scene he uses a flat no inflection type voice - beyond boring!! Please use a different narrator !

Why on earth this narrator would be chosen to read this book with this accent is beyond me. I almost didn’t finish but went back and gritted my teeth throughout.

A sweet story without a lot of drama or suspense - it just ambles along.

The other nannies in this city don't call him the Sexy One for nothing. My boss, the amazingly wonderful single father to the girl I take care of every day is ridiculously hot, like movie star levels with those arms, and those eyes, and that body. Not to mention the way he dotes on his little girl melts me all over. But what really makes my knees weak are the times when his gaze lingers on me. In secret. When no one else is around. I can't risk my job for a chance at something more, can I? But I don't know how to resist him much longer either.

Brilliant writing that pulls you into a wonderful story - not the usual romance - this is history with flawed and interesting characters. I didn’t want it to end

Nicholas Boulton is amazing and it enriched the story completely. I hope he narrated the next one - I can’t wait!

Welcome to Spindle Cove, where the ladies with delicate constitutions come for the sea air, and men in their prime are..nowhere to be found. Or are they? Spindle Cove is the destination of choice for certain types of well-bred young ladies: The painfully shy, young wives disenchanted with matrimony, and young girls too enchanted with the wrong men; it is a haven for those who live there. Victor Bramwell, the new Earl of Rycliff, knows he doesn't belong here.

The narration killed whatever story there was here. The heroine is a mess, spoiled, self centered mess. There are so many missed opportunities never explored. For example - why not spend more time enjoying the knight’s discoveries of current time vs the medieval one he left - it just want good. Plain and simple
