Ren didn't know the meaning of love until he took Della for his own. To begin with, he hated her, but as the months bled into years, he learned the opposite of hate, dedicating his life to giving her everything. Every sacrifice, every gift, he gave wholeheartedly. But then love turned to lust and ruined everything.

I loved this story so much! The narrators were amazing, and as always pepper winters stole my heart. But I must warn others not to listen to the last few hours at work or while driving. I found myself full on ugly crying at my desk praying no one would knock on my office door!

I tried to feel these characters but had no interest in their struggle. The narrator was awful. The story seemed incomplete from the beginning, like I started reading half way through the story.

I lived in the dark for three years. My whole world revolved around the whims and happiness of three men. It was just a trip into the forbidden. A way out of a bad situation and forward into nothingness. Quin, with his easy smile and charming good looks. He was always there for me...until he wasn't. Smith and his dispassionate attention. He was never there for me and he never regretted it. Bric, the one who listened, but only to himself. Self-absorbed, self-obsessed, and self-serving. He was never the one I wanted. And now he might be the only one I have left.

Great audiobook, very funny and real. I did not find it vulgar or offensive in any way. And I found the stories always had an undertone of the love and concern that a father feels for his son. I cant get enough of the stories about this grumpy, outspoken Dad.
