Every part of this book kept me on the edge of my seat! I had many driveway moments where I didn’t want to stop the book. You won’t be sorry.

I listened to the whole book hoping it would get better, it didn't. The main character, Lane, was abrasive and intense and couldn't utter one sentence that didn't have the f bomb or the s...t word. There is no depth or redeeming qualities in this book. Poor character development.

Very interesting! Good Read!

Although this book is very long, it sent me to world maps and history books to discover what I could about this time in India and the role of British.

When I first started listening to this book, I was ready to return it! However, I'm so happy I stuck with it! The story is captivating and heart felt. The only downside (for me) was that the narrator has a very soft and breathy voice, which took some getting used to, and I did!

Couldn't put it down! This book was a pleasure to read. I loved the way the author wove a tale so rich in the tapestry of the characters lives.

This is a delightfully well thought out story that kept me wanting more story, but I wanted the mystery to be solved. Great narration.

This book was like a terrible accident that I couldn't take my eyes away. I didn't like what I was seeing but I couldn't look away. A bit gruesome for me.

This was so much more that the "dust cover" describes. The narrator and the story had me hooked in the first minute and kept me enchanted through the entire book.
