I struggled to stay involved with the story, to be fair, this may have been due to being unwell whilst listening though so I will give it another listen when recovered.

Feist is a talented storyteller weaving plots and subplots seamlessly.

I can't wait to get into the next book. love that this could also be read as a stand alone thanks to the prologue.

The other books havè been amazing, this one just seemed to be disjointed or missing a hunk or something. I even checked to ensure I hadn't inadvertently purchased an abridged version.

I let it run to the end and have listened to samples of some of her other stories and not for me.
if you need swearing it will be ok, otherwise don't bother.

many thanks Keira for the thought you have put into each character so they're multidimensional and complex humans.
The snippets of the extended family just add to the storyline making me impatient to get to the next chapter, the next book....
Can't wait to see what comes next....

this was a well written addition to the Cynster family novels. I have been pulled into the family again and love that Ms Laurens creates multidimensional characters whom we can laugh, cry and empathize with.

please guys, if you are going to give the accent a go at least look up how to pronounce the words which are actual placenames, when it's easy to find on Google, e.g. Geelong it's a G as in George or Gee up, NOT Graham or Gary....

sorry, really too many mate this mate that, Aussies don't use the word that excessively this I know from moving there 30 years ago.

when cussing is used in context I don't notice it, but when it grates is when it's just filling a space and detracts from enjoyment.
I have throughly enjoyed other books by this author, and there were few sections from midway on that over used cussing so it was worth perseverance.
the story line and characters had depth, and I will listen to another of her books.
thanks
