This book is a companion to the groundbreaking ideas that began with The Messengers. It is a further exploration into the connection, both symbolic and literal, between owls and UFOs. There is a strangeness to these accounts that defies any simple explanation. Each chapter tells a deeply personal story where these mysterious experiences are explored in depth. The ancient mythology of the owl is repeating itself within the modern UFO report. What plays out is a journey of transformation, with an owl at the heart of each story.

I'm so disappointed. The original Messengers book was on my want-to-read list for a long time. I wasn't familiar with Clelland's work, but I thought he might have insight on Jungian archetypes of the owl, etc....at least that was the impression I got. Finally this book (which is kinda a part 2) became available in audio format so I snatched it up. OMG....such nonsense. Look, while I can be skeptical, I'm often willing to suspend disbelief for a bit so I can better sync with an author to understand the world from their perspective -- but this book as simply asking too much suspension. In my opinion, it's outright fakery.

The stories told in this book is nothing more than adults playing make-believe. I'm not sure where make-believe ends and author-lying begins. There seems to be very little facts, few few tangibles, and nothing but complete cotton candy fictional fluff.

I'm really disappointed as I had high hopes.

At Captain Chakotay's suggestion, however, she orders the fleet to focus its attention on a unique planet in a binary system where a new element has been discovered.

I LOVE Voyager. I really had hoped there'd be an entire series of Voyager audios and I'd buy them still -- but this one was so uneventful. The dialog was terrible and, well, there really wasn't much from the actual Voyager crew. Buy it if you're loyal to Voyager, but be warned that it's not very Voyager

The only redeeming part of this book was the almost-surprise ending which could've been explored a bit more.
Honestly, I dunno why I didn't return this book after an hour or so. The writing and story was very basic -- "First I was here and did this....then I was here and did this....later I was here and did this." It just didn't seem very inspired.

On the other hand, I love the narrator. This was the second book I've had narrated by Christopher Lane and he's quite good and entertaining. I might just start looking for books read by him :)

I was expecting just another time travel story (and it was) but it had a completely different vibe than I expected. At first, I thought the narrator was a poor choice and that the book would bore me --- I was wrong. The narrator actually reminded me of my grandpa (accept and all). It was amazing.

This had to be one of the more original alien/ufo books I've encountered. Reading this book was like taking a lesson in public relations. Several of the main characters approached the story from the angle of a public relations battle --- everyone wanted to control the narrative. Our characters zipped from media interviews to backroom meetings and more. This story made me feel like I had a better understanding of how high level media relations happens. A good story is entertaining and educational....and this was both.

This book is literally a 40 day plan -- listen to a wee bit each day and do some exercises. I started it for fun, but really found that I enjoyed it. Many of the exercises were quite powerful. I wanted to move at a faster pace, but I'm glad it stayed simple. I think I'll go through the 40 days again very soon.

Despite several severe technical and audio editing issues in this book, the story was spot on. I was so thrilled to see the cast of familiar characters return for this second part. This book was easily not as amazing as the first, but if you liked the first, you'll like this one.

I had two major criticisms. There was a relationship in this book that simply did not seem reasonable for the characters. It was forced and there's no way it could've happened. Secondly, Emma seemed significantly less powerful in this book. In the first, the lady could do anything...and with a little sass to throw in. In this one, it just kept feeling like she was taking the back seat and wasn't all that empowered. I loved learning about the perspective of public relations work in the first one, but this one was nearly devoid of that --- and the PR background was probably the most refreshing part of the first book. Heck, I'd like to see prequels just with Emma.

I'm such a fan of this awesome woman. Everything about her is incredible.....and this book is as well.
If you've not seen her TED Talk, you must.... This book reveals about 100 times more incredible content than her TED presentation.

While dense, this book is not boring...not even remotely. The studies she's conducted and the results are totally mind-blowing. I would very much like to read it again. You'll love it.

I admit that I really wonder if the author is being honest when he's describing paying customers for his coaching. I can't help but think he has no clients. The content in this book was extremely basic to the point of being somewhat superficial. Still, it was only an hour long so not really enough time for heavy work. It was funny though that in the book he's constantly astonish and bragging about having written a book.
