Beck is everything Joe has ever wanted: she's gorgeous, tough, razor-smart, and sexy beyond his wildest dreams. Joe needs to have her, and he'll stop at nothing to do so. As he begins to insinuate himself into her life - her friendships, her email, her phone - she can’t resist her feelings for a guy who seems custom-made for her. So when her boyfriend, Benji, mysteriously disappears, Beck and Joe fall into a tumultuous affair. But there's more to Beck than her oh-so-perfect façade.

This is "different" from the usual suspense novel, and therefore, I found it entertaining. Agree with other listeners, that if you find extreme cursing offensive, this is not the book for you. Again, this narrator is THE shiz...

Lots of fun... enjoyed the writing and the narration. Good job! Along the lines of "The Help", telling the story of women, friendship and hardships endured. Laughed out loud and cried at times! Thumbs up....

Who am I? My name is Christy Snow. I'm 17 and I'm about to die. I'm buried in a coffin under tons of concrete. No one knows where I am. My heart sounds like a monster with clobber feet, running straight toward me. I'm lying on my back, soaked with sweat from the hair on my head to the soles of my feet. My hands and feet won't stop shaking. Some will say that I'm not really here. Some will say I'm delusional. Some will say that I don t even exist. But who are they? I'm the one buried in a grave.

Patty and Walter Berglund were the new pioneers of old St. Paul - the gentrifiers, the hands-on parents, the Whole Foods generation. Patty was the ideal sort of neighbor, who could tell you where to recycle your batteries and how to get the local cops to do their job. She was an enviably perfect mother and the wife of Walter's dreams. Together with Walter - environmental lawyer, commuter cyclist, total family man - she was doing her small part to build a better world.

Ugggh... not very interesting characters... with not-very-interesting, depressing lives... Gave it 1 star due to its long length... got me through 2 weeks of long commutes.

First of all, I will pretty much listen to anything. And I id finish this book. While the play on the historic Romeo & Juliet is intriguing... I wanted to strangle the heroine & her beloved Romeo. Sappy stuff. Narrator did a decent job with the Italian accents.
