When gold is discovered in the foothills just outside of Appaloosa, it sets off a fight between two shrewd local business operations as their hired gun hands square off over the claim. Truly terrible reader

Good mystery western
I’ll admit, it’s not the book Parker would’ve written, but it’s very good. Knott is true to the characters although Parker’s amazing dialogue style is not quite there.
The mystery’s had me guessing. All the characters and settings were well thought out and described. I hope Mr. Knott writes more.
The Land That Time Forgot
- By: Edgar Rice Burroughs
- Narrated by: David Stifel
- Length: 4 hrs and 5 mins
Considered one of his best, The Land That Time Forgot, a novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs and masterfully read by David Stifel takes you from a harrowing sea adventure to a lost world. Can you imagine anything more frightful than having your ship sunk, then rescued, then once again having that ship sunk only to rescue yourself by capturing an enemy submarine and then landing on an island teeming with primitive creatures? This is definitely an adventure that you don't want to miss.
A good yarn
