Ok so this is a very intriguing book...,until the end. There is a huge buildup all throughout the book and then...nothing. A very unsatisfying conclusion (if you can even call it that)

The ending ruined it for me definitely. I get that it's a cliffhanger but it could have been done so much better. The book as a whole was good, though I doubt I'll read the second when it's released. O'yea and the narration was really great.

I love Kresley Cole and I love every one of her books, don't get me wrong but this one was too too much of one thing. I'm ALL for hot sex scenes but there has to be a story line too. In The Professional there was action, suspense and wicked and imaginative kink/sex scenes, everything. I enjoyed The Master but not as much as The Professional I must say this time. When it's Kresley Cole I expect an amazing story not just non stop banging through the whole thing lol If I wanted that I would just read straight up porn lol

There would have been no "inner goddess". No "crap.....double crap, and ever once there was a TRIPLE crap". The amount of times that Anna "flushes scarlet", and Christian "clocks his head to one side" while "pressing his mouth into a hard line" is just ridiculous. I really do wonder where the editor was on this book. Was there one? I suppose Becca Batoe did what she could with the material she had to work with so we can't really blame the narrator. Her voice was pleasant enough, it was the words she had to read over and over that were annoying. Overall, of course the story does have some interesting aspects otherwise there wouldn't be all this hype. I guess one thing to keep in mind is that this was E.L James' very first crack at writing. For a first time writer she did ok for herself. Look, read or listen to the books but be prepared for small annoyances. The books do get better as they progress.

I can't say which book of the 3 that are out so far is my favorite because they're ALL my favorites for different reasons. This book passed like the blink of an eye. Once I started it there was no stopping. If you haven't read the Arcana Chronicles starting with Poison Princess then you need to get on it! I hung on every single word of this book and now that it's over, *tears* I will just start it over again! So obviously, YES I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK/SERIES! miss Cole is amazing and the narrator Emma Galvin is always perfect. She brings the characters to life. The audio book wouldn't be the same without her. I love almost all the books she narrates. Soooooo I give this book infinite stars!!!

Would you listen to Sweet Reckoning again? Why?

Already am right now :)

What other book might you compare Sweet Reckoning to and why?

Poison Princess and Endless Knight by Kresley Cole. I can't really explain why other than the great writing. I can't quite compare. Maybe it's because the Kresley Cole Arcana Chronicles deal with Tarot Cards and teens who represent the major Arcana trump cards and the nef in the Sweet trilogy represent demons. Also both "kids" in both series have supernatural power.

What does Erin Mallon bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Erin does a great job with the accents and voices. She sounds very natural. I really like her as a narrator.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

A few but I'm not going to spoil it for people who haven't read it yet!

Any additional comments?

FANTASTIC SERIES!
